Is this a bit creepy to anyone?

So this is a small camera that you would wear, and it takes a picture every 30 seconds of your day and uploads it to a server for you to choose the best ones..

Also with how small it is (thinking of cameras and how they work, especially lenses and how they work with proper lighting), I can imagine 90% of the pictures would look grainy or unusable..

Is this creepy to you? What do you think?

Personally, I can't get too excited. Nsa's reading my email and listening to my calls, and the FBI is watching me with drones. Some hipster with an ugly medallion camera is the least of my worries. I think it would funny to hang it on my mom's dog's collar, but all I would see is a picture of her comforter. I would like to see what me cats get up to, but then again, maybe not.

Too true, too true, lol! And I hear ya about the boring shots of the walls! Mine would include the cats! A disproportionate amount of shots of cats, sex toys & screenshots of Eden!

The first thing I thought of was guys using this to take creepshots inconspicuously I agree that it would have to be extremely expensive and high quality to get usable photos from a gadget like that, though.

Honestly, my first response was the same, which is why I mentioned creepy.

I guess it would be a lot of shots of my kids climbing all over and fighting with each other....which you could see at any park or play area.

I haven't seen a movie in at least 8 years and that was on cable, lol! Before that, I only saw in a theater in the last 20 yrs. Clearly, I have a lot of catching up to do, lol! Thanks for the recommendation; if I do see it, I'll try to remember to tell you how I liked it!

Sounds like a lot of work to go through an entire day of pictures, haha, I don't think I'd want to relive my day all over again. Unless maybe it was some special occasion?

Ha, I hear ya. I catch stuff on cable as I see it...thankfully we can DVR stuff these days. It'll definitely make you think about all of these things in depth and it's pretty scary what can be revealed about one's life.

The rememberals are really freaking creepy (imo). (It's the funeral service instead of memorial, they play scenes from the person's life. There's a little Minority Report thrown in for good measure in there as well.)

...putting it on pet collars would be fun, though the internet would be overrun with "selfies" of cats smacking dogs on the nose. xD

Personally, I wouldn't want one for a few reasons:

1) I don't do much of anything noteworthy in the average day to warrant a picture.
2) I wouldn't want random people invading my privacy (however accidentally it may be) in that manner so I feel they deserve the same respect from me.
3) Maybe I've seen too many "real crime" programs like this or something, but this thing seems like a pedophile's (or possibly a voyeur/stalker..depend ing on picture content) dream gadget...getting to just casually sit in a park and let it snap pictures of little kids all day.
4) Yes, the internet really needs THAT many pictures of our dog and my mother. xD
5) My cell has a camera, so usually I've got one with me if I ever do want to snap a few pictures.

I think it could be cool if used properly. That would really interest me for things like a family or friend gathering, a party, or taking a walk in an interesting or pretty place.

There are definitely people who would use it badly, but there are also people that use regular cameras, and especially camera phones, for creepy purposes, but also for really fantastic purposes, and I think most people would say we are better off with cameras than without.

This is definitely an unnecessary gadget but it could be interesting.
