Depends where it is... if the law stated anywhere, anytime then I would vote no. But if there were certain areas (beaches, parks, etc.) that it was only allowed in, I think I would be ok with it.

While I think sometimes sneaking to have sex somewhere that another person might find you can be exciting, I think it would be VERY tacky to legalize it. Plus, it would take out all the fun in trying to sneak around to find that spot with the possibility of getting caught.

Location would definitely matter here. I wouldn't want children to see it so you'd have to legalize it in places where there is zero possibility for that to happen.

I think I could do without that.. but if they had specific designated places it'd be different - like nude beaches. That way uncomfortable peopole or people who just really don't want to watch that can swoop around.

Although I'd have to wonder if the social taboo would override the legal taboo anyway and the amount of public fucking going on would stay the same.

I would legalize it in certain places because it maybe fun and all but you have to think about kids running around and I wouldn't want my kids to see someone haveing sex on a bnch in the park. It needs to be realistic. Have designated areas.

likely the amount of sex in public would not increase much. as for kids seeing it, perhaps it would give them a healthier understanding of sex than they end up with. maybe the ammount of sexual assault would go down and not up. there would be laws about not screwing while driving. in movie theatres people would give a half-turn and glare to those behind them having sex. restaurants would have no sex signs to protect the atmosphere...ha!

of course it would never happen, but i doubt it would have much of an affect in a negative way on children or sex crime. topless beaches have no affect on the population. children in finland see nudity in commercials on tv...and they are regularly tops in education. this example of sex in public is an extreme...but it is an example of how we in america make sexuality into something to be hidden. we create jealousy, obsession, insecurity, and rebellion. what are all doing here but rebelling against the social standard? no, i don't think it should be legal to have sex in public...but do we really need a law to tell us that. should we throw people in jail for expressing passion simply because our children might see something natural. instead our children will sneak into our bedrooms when were are not home and get into our porn collections. or they will learn sex from their friends parents' porn. and what about this porn industry that we have built in this country? i have nothing against porn, but i have a hard time believing that it would be so expansive if our view on sex in this country were not, in general, so negative. example; if you saw a pornorgraphic image posted on a wall while walking around downtown, would you want to stand and admire it, but pretend that you were not interested ouf of fear of being caught and exposed as a pervert? or would you really be offended by it? or would you stand and admire the beauty and sexuality of it? would your response be possitive or inspirational? what if that same image were hanging as part of an art exhibit? why does it make a difference?..but we all know that it does because we were raised in this culture that hides it's sexuality at all costs...even from those closest to them. what is your repsonse to thinking of your parents having sex? my point. and, you have to accept that the people on this website are the more open-minded as compared to the mass population. i love my country...but i hate our messed up "public" take on sex and sexuality.

Sorry I gotta vote no on that one. I have kids and honestly I dont want them seeing everyone fucking everywhere ya know. I know yes they could get a better understanding and all but everything has its appropriate age, besides I thing sex is something that should done behind closed doors just because we dont want everyone seeing how skilled or how not so skilled we are

Not even adults need to see other people having sex. Perhaps an adult club allowing this is fine, but I can't see the logistics of doing it at a park. Even if a dog gets in the room, he wants to start licking. Do you want to pull a strangers dog off your junk, or ruin some poor kid's day? I believe that people that really want to have sex in public will find a way without subjecting just anyone to seeing it against their will.

by that rationale, porn causes rape and sexual assault as well. should we make porn illegal? i don't think that a person who sees someone having sex, who is not a sexual preditor already, would be somehow be turned into a rapist.
