My fiance and I like to drive up to a huge city and go shopping and spend a night or two in a hotel we've never tried. We live in a really small college town right now so being around major malls, great restaurants, and a ton of hotels makes for a great vacation. Plus there's a ton of local attractions and parks we love. It's only about 90 minutes away but it's such a different experience.

Thanks for the suggestions. If I had any camping gear at all, I might have given that a shot, but we don't have so much as a sleeping bag.

So far we've indulged in a local park, a concert and the next idea is to visit a museum we've never been to before.
