Need to take classes to keep your license renewed?

I have to take 24 hours of continuing education classes to renew my license. I dont mind doing it. I only have to pay for books and or tests, never the class. But it is so hard to try to schedule classes around work and family life. If I find a class I want to take, it will only be offered for one weekend every 6 months. And I am always busy on that weekend. Either working, of a family thing. I find it really hard to balance everything, just to keep a license.

Does anyone else have to take classes to renew your license? Do you also have a hard time trying to fit classes into your schedule? Or do the classes work around your schedule?

Are you talking about a professional or teaching license, or are you talking about a driver's license?

professional. You do not need classes to renew a drivers license as far as I know.

Which is why I asked for clarification, if you were talking about a DL I was going to be seriously confused.

I think teaching aide certifications are done every 10 years, and CPR/First Aid is every two years.

I don't, but if you don't mind my expanding on the subject, I think driving licenses should be renewed every once in a while. First, to keep up with changes in the law, and to keep you on the right path, as it were. It could provide a helpful staging area to cure some drivers of bad habits.

If the license is significant to your current job, then I think you should try your best to fit the classes into your schedule, other chores just have to be on hold till sometime later.

My Ex had to take continuing education classes to retain either her Insurance sales license or one or another SEC licenses.
