Noise when you sleep

My computer's in my bedroom, so I'm used to hearing the fans whir.

I love the fan going! I can't stand any other noise though.

I used to need it completely silent, but now I have to have a fan on... even in winter.

I generally sleep in silence, but I like listening to music on low as well. The soundtrack to the film Submarine works wonders for me when I can't sleep, and when I was younger, I used to either listen to the Beatles or Queen when nothing else could get me to sleep.

Lately, I've fallen into the bad habit of falling asleep with the TV on in the background. I'll end up in the middle of an episode of Family Guy and not quite know how I got there.

I can fall asleep to a show or podcast, but I am a light sleeper so I need it to stay quiet. Sirens and noises like that make me anxious.
