20/20 just made a short documentary on office parties, and The Office had an episode about them.

They seem like fun! I have only been to one office party, and it wasn't Holiday related. The police were called for noise complaints! Work parties can be insane.

I refuse to go. Every year at my old job they would pick the fanciest damn places and all get dressed up. Me and my buddy would go and it would just feel like everyone was looking down at you. If you bought a drink they would roll there eyes. It was just awkward, so I never went again.

Depends, my husband's is usually a bust. People show up to eat and then take off. My job has several departments and some are very cliquey. This usually makes for a miserable time.
