I really like anything Kairosoft puts out. Incredibly addictive little money simulators that aren't pay-to-win.

Fruit Ninja! I like Angry Birds but get sick of them quickly. I think Cut the Rope is on iOS. There's also some pretty intense games. Batman Arkham Lockdown, Mass Effect Infiltrator, etc

my current new favorite is castle story, i have it on my ipad but i think its available on iphone too
