Sorry you feel that way. We wanted to create something original. So much porn is banal... how about new horizons?
I actually liked it. Haha. My boyfriend was all over me half way through, though the music over the sex scenes kind of bothered him.

I do respect you and everyone who worked on Sanatorium for trying to give it more meaning than a traditional porno, but I have to admit it wasn't quite me or my man's cup of tea.. but we are also not the type to look for a solid storyline with our porn. It was a really enthralling story, though!

I actually thought it was great, it kinda made me look at the way I view porn, and more over, which kind of porn I view. It changed my opinion on some of the crap that is out there.

I feel like it was just forced. Personally, it wasn't for me. However, it was definitely innovative/different. I do agree with it being marketed as an art film will bring more people who would really enjoy it.

it is certainly original and I actually liked that there was a plot - It exposed me to things I might have otherwise shy'ed away from

I really liked that there was a version of Sanatorium with director's commentary. I found watching it that way the second time really helped make sense of some of the imagery I was confused by by just watching the movie.

Maybe we should consider having a thread for everyone to discuss each movie individually throughout the week instead of this two hour window where we keep having to refresh and go the next page; it's impossible to keep up. This is really confusing

I liked that it was different. As much as I love the typical sex scenes, my brain needs to be enlightened as well.

I liked the music of the porn scenes. It's better than horrible Muzak (elevator music) or any of the other 'typical porn' music. It was different.

I liked that such an attempt was made to make a movie with a plot, but Sanatorium was just too hard to follow for my tastes.

Yes, this is definitely one that you really need to watch and take the time to figure out to truly appreciate it I think.

I like the story and the macabre scenes. I just got lost during the vision quest, but I understood what it was for. It just seemed to take up too much of the film I would have rather seen more sex scenes.

I wasnt keen on the music. It was very dramatic for sex scenes. It wasnt the type of porn that arouses me. I found it hard to try to get into the mood in the sex scene and then suddenly into a scene that was rather a turn off.

I have to second this.. the music was way too repetitive (seemed like one track looped over and over) and didn't match up with what was going on. Also, it was too loud most of the time.

I kind of liked it, but my bf said he felt like an alien was going to pop out of someone's chest the whole time. Haha.

I really loved the ending of Sanatorium, but I just thought it was tooo graphic for my tastes. The bloody eye scene? Haunting!

question - who came up with the idea for Sanitorium and how did you feel about it when you first heard the storyline?
More and more we're stigmatized in our business and we wanted to explore the hypocrites that condemn us yet lead double lives.

I thought it was amazing, and really liked it for being so different! The first thing that came to mind when I started watching Sanatorium, was that it was like the movie version of a photography project. I don't know the right term for that kind of book, and I don't want to say 'art', but one of those exotic photography books that tell an amazing story throughout a few interesting pictures.

I liked the music in Sanatorium too. It was that that kept me watching to build suspense. If I didn't like the sex, I still was interested in where the story was going to go.

Tabitha, I thought the movie was great. I think you did a great job producing it, acting, wardrobe, makeup, scenery was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING... You really put a lot of hard work into this film and it shows!! I applaud you!!

Though it was a bit confusing at times, it all came together.
