Once I looked up from my desk and saw him in one of the private offices and he did just that. All interest I had in him died immediately. I know it sounds shallow, but I was instantly nauseated.

Seriously, I don't think it's at all shallow to lose interest based on what you saw! Can you imagine his other gross/unhealthy habits?
(BTW, may I just add that it's such a pleasure to see someone using the correct word for once; it seems everyone now says, "It made me nauseous" instead of nauseated!)
