Decades ago, if a man and woman were in a car together, you would ALWAYS see the man driving. Seeing a woman at the wheel would have literally "turned heads".

Today, we noticed that far more male/female couples seemed to have the woman driving, regardless of age!!!??? Not sure when this changed, or why.

In our case, I have the bigger car and my husbands little car is only to pop to work and back. When we go ANYWHERE else, we take my car, and since the seats/mirrors...etc, are set for ME (he is tall, I am short....big changes to adjust), I automatically always drive, to not mess with my seat and other controls. We have always done that since being together. When he used to pick me up in HIS car for a date, of course, he would drive, but other then that, I am behind the wheel.

Buy a car with memory seats, lady!

My husband usually drives because he is really good with directions; I'll drive occasionally when I'm in the mood and know the route to the destination well.

Same as Rossie. He drives because he can usually get us where we're going through short cuts whereas I cannot.

I hate driving so unless he's had a drink then he drives

He drives because I have to be available to hand whatever thing the kids want next. (water, toy, etc.)

He usually does because I HATE driving. Just hate it. I avoid it like the plague. Of course, sometimes (like today) I have to. But if I wanted to drive when we were out together, he'd have no issue with it.

I drive more. I enjoy it, and he drives a lot for work (not his commute, but his job) so I let him take time off from being behind the wheel.

I drive the most but she will on occasion. She just prefers me to drive, I love to drive so it works out for us.

I have extreme vision problems so legally I can't drive, which by default forces him to drive all the time.

He drives. I am not too fond of driving so I don't usually mind, but he thinks it's emasculating for me to drive.

His job requires him to drive all over so when he gets home/on the weekends I'm usually the one driving, unless it's a really bad area to drive in or I really don't know the way.

If it's just around town, he drives most of the time (unless I happen to pick him up for lunch or something like that). However, if we go on a long trip, we split the driving and I end up doing about 75% of it.

That is a good question. I don't have a car but my boyfriend does. The only thing he lives in another state. When he moves I may be doing most the driving until he learns his way around here. That or I will point him to where to go too.

For us, he usually drives, even if we're taking my car. I don't really like driving, especially long distances or anywhere there might be traffic.
Occasionally I'll drive, but only if we're driving around town or something.
