We all have things that we must splurge on, and things we refuse to overspend on. It could be beauty products, clothes, food, accessories, household things, etc. Anything but sex toys!

Give me the top 5 of each!

Top 5 things I splurge on:

1: Most makeup products
2: Shoes
3: Healthy food (when I'm on track...)
4. My pets food. We buy all Blue Buffalo, it's pricey!
5. Bed sheets

Top 5 things I refuse to overspend:

1. Clothes (I'd rather shop at Kohls or target)
2. Mascara! I have tried expensive types, but find that covergirl is the best for me.
3. Paper towels, I prefer the Walmart brand.
4. Getting my hair done. I just can't pay someone to dye my hair solid black.
5. Furniture. I just can't bring myself to spend that much money. We bought a couch off craigslist or $300. Looks brand new, beautiful microfiber sectional. The store wanted $1100 for the exact same couch!

Something that I don't have to spend a bunch of money because I don't like feeling guilty. I would like it to be something to make me feel sexier and puts a smile on my face

1. Restaurant food
2. Grocery store food
3. Clothes (In large quantities, not single expensive articles of clothing)
4. Lindt Chocolate
5. Gifts for people

Top 5 for refusing to overspend on:
1. Sex toys (I always pay with points ;P )
2. Shoes
3. Electronics
4. Toiletries (not paying tons of money for things I'm gonna throw away)
5. Movies (I just watch them online)

Top 5? With 1 being the biggest thing.
1 Phone cases (on Amazon)
2 Makeup (on Amazon)
3 Shoes / purses (about the same amount)
4 Music/apps on iTunes lol
5 Nail Polish

Top 5 things I won't over spend on.... In no particular order
1 Phone cases (again, Amazon! Amazing deals, cheap prices, low or free shipping most of the time!)
2 Shampoo/condioner/hair styling items (coupons)
3 Makeup (coupons are a girls best friend!)
4 Getting hair done (my friend is a stylist -she does it for free!!!!)
5 Most paper products.

All the stuff I buy on Amazon I got gift cards for free (love my life at times lol), and then I look for the ones that are cheaper and free shipping. They are actually quite good (the cheaper phone cases that is). Even if you want something sturdy like an Otterbox, you can find them for lower prices on Amazon.

I know how to coupon and can easily save 50% at a store. I also wait until a really good beauty deal at CVS comes along where I can use coupons stacked with CVS deals and get Extra bucks back (its cash at CVS!). Then I buy more LOL. Recently thought, I spent $50 on Amazon and got a ton of makeup (name brand stuff too, like Nyx) and a bunch of other crap. Amazing. Free shipping for all but One thing!


to the original poster: the couch you are talking about I could have found something like that at Ikea for about $500 or so! Ikea has some great prices. So do many other furniture stores. I always search around when I buy stuff thats expensive. I have to admit though, Craigslist is pretty awesome sometimes.

I usually splurge on my every day bras and underwear. They have to be cute, functional, and comfortable! Other than that, I shop really cheap for everything, I'm a broke college kid.

Hmm, that's tough!

Things I splurge on;
1.Nail polish -I've had to break the habit of biting nails so I turned to playing with them and painting them.
2.Jewelry -especially the clearance section....oooh I'm a jewelry freak!
3.Do slushies/drinks from Sonic count?! LOL
4.Music -me and Amazon MP3s have become very close friends!
5.Little cousins? They're like my nieces, and I maybe sorta spoil them...lol.

Things I REFUSE to splurge on;
1.Clothes -I wanna look good but not go broke for it!
2.Movies -that's what NetFlix is for!
3.Shoes -I love shoes, but I can't make myself pay over $20 unless they are just too good to walk away from (and I think they will last for more than three outings!).
4.Hairdos -I have only been to the salon like 3 times, ever. I am lucky enough to know people who can cut hair!
5.Cellphones -I try to keep mine til they are just a square piece of crap, but boy do I love window shopping and imagining myself with a iPhone/Smartphone/etc.

This was fun, I like EF's open discussion forums!

Top 5 Splurges:

1) Tea...I can't help but try almost every kind at least once, and my favorite tea is an imported one.
2) Makeup, lip products especially. Considering most of it's picked up at the dollar store (name brand stuff for a buck, can't beat it) I suppose it might not be a true 'splurge'...bu t I tend to buy any shade that strikes my fancy, so about half our makeup case is lip products. xD
3) Video games and other gaming accessories like memory cards and controllers.
4) My collections, mostly my panda collection but the old books and temporary tattoos see a lot of love too.
5) Unusually flavored candies or other odd edibles...mostly just to say I've tried them at least once. x'3


Top 5 items I won't overspend on:

1) Clothing, minus certain exceptions for really cute items. For the most part I just buy whatever is cheap and relatively..not ugly...in the plus size sections of stores like Wal-Mart because I don't really need "fancy" clothes since I don't go out much.
2) Food...I don't mind the generics or off brands, if it's cheap, I'll try it.
3) Bath&Beauty supplies other than makeup, my favorite lotion thus far is a dollar for a huge bottle. =3
4) Books, unless it's an antique or one of my all time favorites. I usually just browse Dollar Tree for ones that look good after a quick glance through a few pages.
5) Jewelry....for the most part I make my own or buy stylish, yet relatively cheap items.

I'm super stingy, and hate to spend money. Even when I reaaaally want something (like a new toy), I shop around and weigh my options before I buy anything.

Splurge:
1. Bras. I buy a lot of them but don't really pay a lot of money for each one. I can get bras that are usually expensive for decent prices on ebay. It's taken me a lot of trial and error to narrow down my size, and a well fitted bra is important to me.

2. Leather clothes, shoes and accessories. I love leather and will usually pick it over vinyl, polyurethane etc. It lasts longer and smells and feels better.

3. Festivals, events and new experiences in general.

4. Books. If libraries carried more of the books I like I wouldn't have to buy so many. I often come across books on goodreads and elsewhere online that I'm too curious about not to buy.

5. Most other things (aside from the stuff listed below). I'm fussy and I appreciate quality.


Won't spend a lot:
1. Panties. I rarely wear them, but when I do it's cheap black cotton for me.

2. Grocery store food, for the most part.

3. Makeup aside from foundation and lipstick. I rarely wear anything else.

4. Video games, movies and music. I try to get stuff on sale and only buy the ones I really like.

5. Like you, getting my hair done (I also dye mine black). I get hair cuts from time to time, but that's it.

It was hard to think of things I won't spend a lot on. Is that bad?
