Silicone or Water based lube?

Contributor: HannahPanda HannahPanda
I like silicone's texture better, but water based is by far safer. Water based dries up easier, though.

I like the texture of silicone, too, but water based usually wins me over.

I recommend having both. I prefer silicone lube for anal, and water-based lube for vaginal.

Most of the toys we currently own are silicone so I've only used water based lube for capatibilty reasons.

SIlicone is nice, but water based is the most compatible, so we stick with the water based.

Both, I like water based cause its safer and more compatible with most of my toys. But silicone is just so smooth, and it works in water still too! I love silicone, but we usually have water based around

Both have their advantages and disadvantages. I like them both for different reasons.

I have both, but I almost always use water based since it's compatible with everything.

Tough call. I enjoy them both really. But, silicone can be used to protect my hair when I straighten it so I guess it wins more points there cause it's the multi-purpose lube

Water based! Silicone reacts with too many toys.

Water based only, I have too many silicone toys and apart from that I don't like how long silicone lube lasts.
