I never needed one, but when I shared a room with my step sister, as kids she always needed it.

I never used to, but my partner always did in the beginning so now I've gotten used to it and find it easier to sleep with the sound of a fan or something.

My mom has this little space heater she keeps on which is annoying. So I'll only keep it on if it's hot in my room. It sits on the night stand kinda thing above my bed. It's not loud and it doesn't bother me. Just there to keep air circulating.

It really depends on where I am/when it is. I guess it's a balance between how annoying the sound is vs. how annoying the heat is.

absolutely, in the winter and summertime. We have it on pretty much nonstop. We can't sleep well without it because of the white noise and the cool air.

I would sleep with a fan on year round but the hubby hates it unless it is real hot. So I use one from about the first time the windows get opened in the spring until late fall.
