I'm just curious what other Supernatural fans think of the various characters and if you really like someone who is no longer on the show - would you like them to bring them back?

I've only been watching the show for a little under a year but I've seen all the seasons thanks to dvds. But I haven't followed the various characters for years and years to grow attached to them (except maybe Bobby).

Now that's not fair . . I think my 'favorites' are half the males on the show! and all for different reasons.

Castiel is adorkable <3 and up until last season, he was someone you could count on to always try and do the right thing.

Crowley is just plain funny to watch. Short and sassy ftw!

Bobby is . . aww, I just want to give him a big hug. He's so supportive and has a lot more common sense than the boys. He puts up with so much shit and gets hardly any acknowledgement.

And Dean . . well, he's cute and sarcastic. Sometimes I want to smack him upside the head, but what can you do?

The one I want back most is Gabriel. The dichotomy of his character never really got explored, and I think there's an amazing amount of potential there. Pagan god, Trickster, and Archangel all rolled into one package- I'm a bit surprised they were willing to let go of a character that could've sparked -so many- storylines. But then, SPN has always been focused on the brothers.

As far as all-time favorite, though, it has to be Castiel. I love that his do-not-grok is a Cas thing, not an angel thing. I loved his relationship with Dean, before S6 where everything became horribly one-sided. And, in a twisted/fucked up way, I loved Hippie!Cas, because talk about a broken angel.

Before S6, Dean would've been on my favorites list. After it, though, he can go choke on a bag of dicks. I'm done with him.
