To me, eating sushi would be like asking to get sick. Meat should be cooked to kill bacteria. Our digestive systems are not as equipped as they were in the caveman days to kill out bacteria in raw meat, not to mention we have drug-resistant forms of bacteria now lol. Happy sushi eating!

i love sushi and sashimi, common misconception is that sushi is not cooked. that is wrong some sushi is cooked such as my favorite (thanks to lillostlenore) unagi. however you dont have to worry about getting sick from sashimi (which is raw fish) as long as it is sashimi grade fish, otherwise it needs to be cooked. damn now im craving sushi...

I love sushi, I know there is risk with eating raw meat, but I enjoy the taste. I hate cooked fish the texture is disgusting to me.

I would have to say yes and no. I have tried Sushi in various styles and places. I don't mind the rice, seaweed and raw fish, I can handle that, but the amount of raw fish has to be small, and also not to have a strong flavor.

I did try some with caviar on it and it was the most disgusting thing ever. If the occasion occurs where there is sushi available, I 'might'...just might have some. But definitely not a food I like to eat on a regular basis.

I'm picky with sushi. I don't like the rolls with cream cheese cause I really don't like when cream cheese gets warm and runny. Bleh.

I love sushi! Before I moved down here, I ate it several times a month. If I could afford to, I'd probably eat it several times a week. My girlfriend doesn't like sushi, so I don't really get it often. Not only that, but there aren't many sushi joints around here and it is expensive. Can't really buy sushi on good judgement the next day.
