Tattoo....the plane, the plane. Ha ha ha, lol. Do you get it?

Anyway I was having a hard time trying to go to sleep last night. I started thinking about that I might want to get a tattoo. Don't have any so far. Thought it would be cool to get one by my c-section scar. It would say LIFE in some fancy of tribal type letters. My husband says no way. We'll see!

So, I thought it would be fun to see who has tattoos out there. Or not.

I don't have one. It has been discussed that I get tattooed for my 'M' part in my M/s relationship. It'll most likely above my cunt. Details as to what it'll be are discussed every now and again, but that won't be for years to come so I'm not that worried about it now. It may be words or it may be a design.

I was born in Japan (dad was military) and I always wanted to get my name in Japanese tattooed on me somewhere. I finally did it 2 years ago. It's on the back of my neck. I got it high enough that you can only see it if I keep my hair cut short so I could hide it if need be. My dad still asks me if I regret it and I can honestly say I have not for one second regretted it. I would like to get more ,maybe on my foot, someday.

My husband has one tattoo on his upper arm. It has our two boys names and "Boanerges" under that which means "sons of thunder". It wasn't what I would have picked for him to get but he got it when he was away with the Army. He wants lots more but we just haven't had the money.

I'm an all or nothing type person. If I start getting tattooed I will want to be covered and I a)don't have the money or commitment for that at the time and b)am looking to go into social work and being visibly tattooed could present a problem. I figure I'm 21 and I have time to get tattooed later. Not a fan of rushed or bargain-hunting tattoos.

That said, I love tattoos on other people, especially well done ones. My boyfriend is about 75% covered (arms, sides, back, tops of hands, palms, most but not all of his legs, chest, neck, soon to be temples.) pretty much everything but his tummy and face and little pieces here in there. I love it.

Have a ton, like them and feel that mine are very personal - don't think about them all the time though. I often get caught off guard by people asking to see more of my chest piece (that gets annoying). Have plans and finished designs for more.

I don't have any myself. I did want one when I was a teenager - a rose on my inner left wrist (have no idea where I got the idea), possibly with the stem twined around the wrist. I had a few friends that had tattooed wrists and they were able to hide their tats with wrist bands or thick watch straps. One worked in social services as a house mother and she had snakes around her wrists; I recall she had quite a collection of wrist bands.

If I would get one now, it would likely be some sort of celtic design, perhaps with a rose tucked in, and it would probably be around my right wrist this time. I can live without it, but it's nice to think about if it should ever come up.

I don't have one - but I want one someday. I'd like to get something when my boyfriend and I get married, in a spot where he would only be able to see.

I'd also really like a hummingbird tattoo. I'm really picky about them though, I'd like something really pretty and artistic. Also, I am studying to become an elementary school teacher - so I have to make sure they are in a spot that can't be seen. I'm even a little bit nervous about putting them in a spot that can be seen even when I am out in public.

I'm afraid one of my students parents may see me and think something bad about me because of it. I'm probably making it worse, I just get nervous about it.

Yes, I chose both "I hate tattoos" and "I want one." Let me explain.

I really want one. But, I know me. I'm a piercing addict, which I managed to stop before I went overboard by starting to dye my hair fun colors. I know from that experience that if I give myself a tattoo I'll want more forever and ever. And so I hate tattoos.

That being said, if I were to get one, I'd get a full side panel. Right side, chest to hip, because my job doesn't allow visible tattoos and that part of my body is always fully covered at work.

That, and a side panel would be an excellent deterrent to late-night ice cream binges, because if I started to put weight on it would stretch like nobody's business at the hip. (I can't have kids, so that wouldn't be a problem, either.)

I plan to get many tattoos in the near future. I put that I love/hate them because I enjoy them on me, but I hate them on my partner. It isn't really a double-standard, because I've talked with her about it and I told her that if she wanted me to not have any, I wouldn't. But she does want me to get tattoos, she thinks that I would look attractive with them.

I have three: a dove outline on the back of my neck, three stars (red, green, and brown) in descending size on the inside of my left wrist, and a swan outline with blue details on my right front-hip.

I don't plan on getting any more but who knows. I enjoy piercings better.

I was never really fond of tattoos on guys until I met my boyfriend who just so happens to have 9 different tattoos all over his body. One of his tattoos is colored in, while the others are just done in black ink. The colored one is his favorite, but for some reason I find the black ones to be sexier.

I've considered getting one myself, but I change my mind so often that I don't know if I could be happy with one for the rest of my life. If I did it would be somewhere only me and my partner would see it. We've talked about possibly getting matching ones when we get married. Maybe a little heart with the first letter of each others names or something.

I have 3 areas of tattoos: each shoulder and my right calf.

I think tattoos are a great way of individualism...as long as the tattoos are unique. I have no idea how many people have that godsmack sun as a tattoo in S.E. Michigan.

I used to live with a tattoo/body piercing place owner...I've seen a lot of BAD ink jobs!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE tats! I only have 3 so far but will be getting more this year My husband has only one but also wants more...hes overseas this year so it will be awhile before he can get more. LOVE piercings too...also getting atleast 3 more done this year as well...I have a tribal tat on my lower back (first tat I got when I was 18) I have a FROG (Im completely obssessed with frogs) on my right ankle hanging from a bamboo limb that wraps aroung my leg...and I have my sign (Virgo) with a tribal background on my left arm! And off the subject, I have my nipples and tongue pierced as well as like 8 in each ear...Im addicted to tats and piercings both, would have more but like to spend money on clothes too much...for my daughter lol (I enjoy shoppin for her way more than for myself).

I have two, one on my lower back, just above my low rise jean line and one on my back, near my right shoulder. I obsessed forever prior to getting them as I don't want to be a showcase for someones poor art.
In some circumstances tats can be considered negative on a job interview so I don't want any to show unless I want them to.

Actually, I was registered with the K9 Assoc to do serial tattoos in dog's ears a few years back. Different rig for that - more like the machines used for cosmetic tattooing.

Yep, the prude has a tat! I got mine when I was very young and don't regret it at all. Mine is very private and only a hand full of people know I have one. I've often thought about getting another one I just need a more creative idea and a hidden spot. I don't like sharing with others so it has to be hidden. Mind you I love seeing others with tats. Look at Victoria's and just try and tell me she isn't hot. I guess it's kind of like short hair. Some people can carry it off and others can't. I would look like an idiot. I think Sammi has the best idea trying with a fake. You really need to be sure of the art and the location. Also, do your homework and make sure you get a good clean artist.
