do you think its alright for teenagers to wear lingerie? I went to a fashion show and was a little weired out that the girls looked like 14 and had on lingerie and then though well i'm sure there are young girls that do infact buy lingerie...

i know the models ranged in age most were like 16-18 i think the youngest was like 14

No that's...odd. I hate the hypersexualizing of kids in our society sometimes. I accept that kids that age are going through puberty and are becoming sexual beings themselves. But some things are just better left in the realm of adulthood, when you're old enough to really handle and appreciate your sexuality in a healthy, non-confusing manner. It seems exploitative to have them modeling lingerie at a fashion show, at the very least...

What gets me is when you see a 13 year old or younger wearing a thong at the mall. Children out in public wearing low rider jeans with the top of a thong showing in the back. To top it off, when something happens to these young girls such as getting abducted and raped/ molested or pregnant from an older boy the mothers and or fathers get upset and say crap like,"How did this happen?" or "I don't understand what went wrong!" All I can say is,"Really, YOU don't know how this happened!?!" I never let either of my girls wear sexy lingerie when they were young. I didn't buy it for them nor would I allow them to wear it when it was given as a gift. At the age of 19 and 17 almost 18 my girls are old enough to wear what they want but I made sure that they understood why. My oldest had a friend in middle school who would wear thongs and sexy lingerie clothing to school and just out and about. Her mother was shocked when her little girl came home pregnant by a 20 year old. I told my daughter to look at the big picture. Her mother allowed her little girl to dress like a young adult, wear make-up like a grown woman, and allowed her little girl to hang out with older "boys". What did she think was going to happen? Message sent and learned.
