That's awesome Owl. I sympathize about the eating issue. I just don't have the appetite that other people do and, like you, stress or hot weather reduce my appetite even further. I cheer for your healthy eating.

I LOVE THIS THREAD SAM!!!!

Congrats to Sir for the facial Hair and Owl Identified for following a healthy meal plan, it's not easy and you rock for being such a strong person! Sam you probably have awesome biceps so congrats to you for your achievement as well.

The only thing I can think of bragging about is that I am creative, lol. Thats it. When I get hired for a job I am hoping I will get then I shall come back to brag some more.

Actually...I give the best blow jobs/hand jobs in the world (according to my guy and he is the world to me <3)

Congratulations to everyone on their accomplishments so far! Especially happy to hear about Owl's eating, Sir's facial hair, and Starkiller's advances away from medications! And Tuesday for knitting circles around us, because that sounds fun.

I'm participating in this thread because it's usually hard for me to identify things I'm proud of about myself, so I'm trying to stretch myself out here. I would like to brag about ... the good job I've been doing lately at relating to my 9-years-younger sister. Our whole family's on the shy side, but I've been going out of my way to send her interesting links when I'm away from home, and spending time with her while I'm at home, so that she feels like she's got a friend and has some outside validation. She's been responding really well, too. I love my sister.

Also that I was brave enough to participate in this thread. Wow. It was hard to put something real, but I really feel good right now. Thanks, Sam!

I am a very good graphics designer that professionally makes decals and bumper stickers. I designed a logo for a very well known store in the US last week.

This makes me all warm and gushy and miss my sisters so much. They are truly my best friends and it's beautiful that you're reaching out to yours. This is beautiful and I am very glad you shared because it has inspired me to spend the day tomorrow with one of my sisters

Up until about six months ago, I was working on a book. I canned it and started working on something else.

Recently I canned that too, because as much as I adore the main character and want to write him -all the time-, I needed to go back to the plotting board.

About a week ago, I reread all 50k of the first book.

I thought I was going to cringe constantly, feel self-conscious, and leave more on the editing floor than I kept.

In reality... it's good. It's really good. It needs some balancing, some editing, a bit steadier of a hand throughout, but the things that I was so uncertain about? Worked. The core of it is there, and it's vivid and strong and bracing.

For a long time I've felt like I couldn't write about abuse because it garners so many eye-rolls and accusations of too-perfect characters, but rereading this helps me point and say "I have a right to stories about people like me."

Maybe someday, I'll have the guts to finish it.

Thank you for sharing that. It may be a bit unrelated but Stephen King's first book, or at least one of the ones that made him such a huge name, he was just going to throw out. He did actually. His wife pulled it out of the trash can and told him that he needed to at least try. Well he did, and we have Carrie for it.

You'll finish that book someday, and it could be the next great novel

To bump this back up, I'd like to brag that Friday I should be completing the last part of my side piece that's only on my back. The next session after that spills onto my arm and I'm that much closer to finishing my sleeve

That is awesome. I have an unfinished piece on my back right now that I just haven't got around to yet.

Brag (and possible trigger):

I for the first time in my life am wearing jeans that aren't a double digit. And am wearing panties that aren't a large.

This is huge to me, who even in elementary school had to wear the larger end of clothes and wear the size L underwear.

I don't feel skinnier yet - it really hasn't hit home, but this is a really big step towards understanding that "holy crap, I'm not as big as I used to be!"

I believe I sent a very goofy pic to Sam of my victory dance in the new jeans.

Not very often I get to brag about anything in my life so....

1. I was thrilled I got asked to join a speaker's panel the other night for the Advanced Studies in Human Sexuality class at the university here. I took the class a year ago, was the teaching assistant for the prof the next semester, and she's been a friend and mentor ever since. The panel was on Sex and Spirituality. It was luck really, because my minister wasn't able to make it so she asked me to take his place representing Unitarian Universalism.

2. I was asked by my minister to be the one to coordinate bringing one of my favorite people in the world, anti-racism activist Tim Wise, to come speak at our church in a couple of months.

3. I got accepted for sex educator training at San Francisco Sex Information, which I start next month.

Mine's still pretty small, but it's one of those "every bit counts" kinda things. I recently started seeing a chiropractor for a pinched nerve in my back. Turns out it was some compressed vertebrae and not muscle swelling and pinching, which is awesome because I can still do things like enjoy heating pads and take nice baths (if I ever find the time). I've only gone for a few appointments so far, so I can't quite tell yet if any lack of pain is the normal ebbing and flowing I experienced in the past or if things are starting to work, but something I did notice today made me smile real big. This twisting motion I would do to try and "crack" my lower back has caused me some level of pain for a few years now, and I almost never get a crack. Today I tried it out of habit while I was driving and was met with almost no pain whatsoever. And my back cracked.

Right now I'm back to experiencing the random cold shoots and some pain, but I'll definitely take what I can get as far as progress goes.

Nice job! It's a really intense time to get school done on a 4-year time frame, you must really know what you want!

So... I just posted an adult video review! Holy cow! I think I'm bragging, maybe I'm more in shock?
