So, it's coming close to summer time and people will be going on vacations that keep them away from Eden (I know I've been busy this past week with birthday celebrations and graduation plans). I've noticed a lot of confusion can come over the community when some of our favorite contributors go AWOL - often causing some worry, if there's no notice when they disappear.

So I thought of the idea for this thread. Here we can post our vacation plans or plans to just take breaks from Eden, so there's no worry or confusion. If we know of someone's hiatus and they haven't let anyone know, maybe we could post for them?

For example: I'm headed to Lake Tahoe in June, from the 17th to the 23rd and will have internet access, but probably won't be active during those days. And up until the 12th of June, I'm busy finishing up school.

Anyone else got plans?

I will be on vacation from June 4th until June 8th, returning on Monday, June 11th.

I will be in Haiti for a medical mission trip July 21-28. They don't have electricity but a couple of hours a day and internet isn't even in their language. But I will return afterwards!

I honestly don't think it's a good idea to post on an internet site where anyone can read, as people do lurk here when your house is going to be empty for a week or more is a good idea.

People have had their houses broken into because they posted the dates of their vacations online.

Y'all can do what you want, but I won't post the days I'm not going to be home.

Certainly nobody is silly enough to state when their house will be empty (mine never is, no matter how many of us are on vacation - huge family). And besides, I'd certainly consider the EF community trustworthy.

Mine is never empty either! There are probably more people here and looking out for it when we are gone than we we are home. Also, on here, nobody knows where I live and even if they did, I'm not worried about leaving it..other sites I won't post when I am going to be gone!
