The whole world seeming to go to a weird state - how will it all end up in your opinion?

Weird laws, more and more oppressive market regulations, the economy sinking, and you just don't wonder anymore that you bump into more and more people who bring up topics folks would have judged you for years ago...

Do you think people will keep on giving in until there is a 1984 style police state for the whole country/world like in those hilarious/fantastic 80s/early 90s sci-fi/action movies? Or do you think people will rise, and stop it all before it reaches such a point? Will it be a violent or peaceful revolution?

The fact that there is outrage over "business as usual" gives me hope. We're in a time of Transition, and we're on an incredible journey of awakening consciousness.

Watch TED Talks - there are movers and shakers out there who are changing the world for the better.

We're all going to die. (I'm not at all concerned about future generations of humanity; they'll either figure it out or they won't but I am perfectly content without having to get my hands in that fight. I fight for one thing: the right to do whatever you want in your bedroom and with your body. That's it.)

I think that the world will become more and more progressive, but nothing huge.

Well put Stormy. For me, I'd say a lot of things are growing and becoming more inclusive and better for everyone, but that's causing some kickbacks into knee jerk reactions

Have no idea where you're going with the thing about 1984 style police and hilarious/fantastic 80's/early 90s or sci fi. I am totally lost where that is concerned.

Stop all of what? What "weird laws?" I know there are some laws I consider strange, but I'm kind of lost on this specific topic here.

As for violence, I don't know what will happen. I don't think everyone will suddenly stop their ways, but I think we have plenty of really great people who want nothing less than to change the world in some way they are passionate about. This is good! I think we have enough of the good people, enough of us that are making a real difference (even if it's only a small one at the moment) in some area or another and I do think we'll continue to see improvements, but I can't say we will see a decrease in violence or other things. I absolutely do not believe the world will become peaceful. That is not in my beliefs. That isn't to say we cannot live peacefully. But for war and every bad thing to just come to an end? Not while the world is still going.

People already have been rising up.

I see it more as the "Cloud Atlas" ending. Where sooner or later we are all going to be outdone by our own doing. Civilizations rise and fall, what makes anyone think that we are any diffrent.
