How do you obtain your cars?
When it is time for you to get a "drive". Do you do "new car, used car, or lease"?

I always buy used. Then I drive them until they won't drive anymore.

Every 10 years I buy a 5 year old car! Odd for a Californian - but cars easily last to 150k-200k miles here.

The last time I bought new was in '96. Since then I've purchased low mileage used.

We buy them new, never know how rough the previous owners might have handled those used cars.

I compare the cost, and sometimes do new or used.

Have never bought a car, don't know when I will. Right now, I live close enough to the necessary places to walk or bike. If it's farther, I get a ride with someone.

It varies. I always buy, never lease. I buy what I can afford. I never finace a car.

Right now I'm driving a ten year old Toyota that's my baby. I'm hoping to get at least another 50,000 miles out of it, but we'll see.
