Two Orders in a Week! I'm on Fire!

I just made an order on the 1/8 (got a harness and The Mistress) and another one today because I realized that it had been awhile since I ordered a new vibe. Todays order was the Rabbit teaser silicone, Sweetheart silicone, Silicone sassy G, and the Eddie silicone dildo. I am extremely excited to get these as I plan on writing up reviews of them. I must say the B1G1 deal is a great one. The only thing that sucked was trying to limit myself to just a handful of items as I wanted so many of them. less

Sadly, I have not been able to make a purchase lately. Funds are extremely low and the end of the year always has more than one nasty surprise waiting for me that further drains the bank account. SOOON THOUGH! less

Okay, so I got the first package with the double-ended dong in it. And lemme say this, first impression was bad. It's been a long time since Eden has sent stuff to me in just an envelope or bubble mailer and this was NOT the product to send in a bubble mailer!

I live in a town of about 5,000 people so I'm sure everyone in town knows what I bought by now as you could CLEARLY feel the dong through the mailer material.

I mean, I don't have a problem with people knowing that I buy and use sex toys, but I know that my family and my fiance's family probably do. That being said, I could also tell that the postal workers were having fun squeezing an end of the package to tell what was in there as one end of it was showing stress marks from being compressed in a certain way a lot.

THAT is of no fault of Eden, but the fact that they sent it in such an obvious way was distressing. I'm very glad that it was me that got the mail today and not my mother or father as I live with my parents.

You should know they switched to the envelopes a while ago, around June, I think. If you order enough items, or large sized items, you can sometimes get a box. However, if you want to be assured you get a box, you can pay for the wrapping option. Your order will be in a box, wrapped, inside an outer box. When you go to checkout, you will see the "Add A Gift Wrap" box in pink, right above the coupon code entry boxes. You click it and a popup lets you select red, green, or gold wrap for $5. I know, it costs money, however, it's an option you may not have known about to secure a box. I use it for anything I want in good shape. Today I tried it to make sure I gave you all the correct info and when I put the wrapping in my cart, it showed up as 99 cents! I don't know if that's because I chose an expensive vibe to put in the cart for this test, or if there is a promo discount for this for Valentine's Day, but always check because I have gotten it discounted before. (I think I remember getting money off of it using my percent off coupons, too, but am unsure.) less

You're welcome! You know, there was a pretty big stink with people posting threads complaining about the switch to the envelopes. Some received broken glass bottles of bath products, or lubes that leaked, but for the most part, Eden tries to send that stuff in boxes now. Anyway, people were pretty loud about complaining and I myself have been displeased to have received some expensive toys in smashed boxes (though the items themselves were not damaged). So I mentioned solutions such as having an option at checkout where you can opt for a box, either instead of the freebies, or at a slight price, say $3. For whatever reason, none of that happened. But then I found out about the wrapping "trick" and have been happy ever since. I have mentioned it to people, but until you, no one other than myself thinks it's a good idea, lol! I understand your situation with the small town and living with parents, etc. And I think if the issue is important enough to someone, then the fee is likely acceptable to ensure receiving the box instead of an envelope. Remember, if your order is large enough, you may get a box anyway. So, if you like, you can contact Antoneo in customer services and ask him is your order would likely come boxed or not. Then you can decide if you want to add in the wrapping. I still think offering a fee for boxed shipping at checkout would be a great option! less
