So, now that we are preganat! Me and my wife have a few new found fears when it comes to playing it safe. She's not exactly a high risk pregnancy, but we have read that people who have had ectopic pregnancies and miscarriages in the past need to be carefull when using vibrators. Now, we hardly ever use them for internal use, so do we still need to worry? Has anyone else run into this problem while they were prego?
If so what do you suggest we do. I am going to ask the Doctor when we see her next. And as of right now we are taking it easy on the sex toy front.

I never had a problem I would say unless your doctor says you can't have sex at all it would be safe to use them.

As long as you weren't told by the Dr that she is high risk and should avoid sex...then she should be fine. When you are high risk you are told to avoid all orgasms.

Just use them gently. I was so horny when I was pregnant! I would have run my husband ragged if I/we hadn't used toys!

I'd always say ask your Dr. if you are concerned...after all, you'll be sharing more than that with your Dr. lol!

I know it may be embarrassing but I would ask her doctor.

Sexual activity in pregnancy is generally considered healthy, but asking your doctor seems to be the best answer here.

I myself am 22 weeks pregnant and use mine. I have never had any miscarriages or anything in the past, but I have not had any problems with using them. But if you are concerned i would ask her ob/gyn as awkward as it may be to ask lol

I don't think it would be a problem especially externally. My concern would be hitting the cervix. Ask the doctor or the nurse if you are more comfortable with the nurse.

It's obviously not something that causes problems often, as many people have said--but I'd just ask a doctor if you're really concerned, always best to get peace of mind.^^
