Valentines Day, what are you doing?

Contributor: IndependentlyHappy IndependentlyHappy
I'm honestly kind of bitter about Valentine's Day, even though I don't really want to be a negative Nellie.

For one, it'll be my first Valentine's Day without a partner in three years. Plus, various bad stuff went down in my life around this time last year, and I don't really want to be reminded of it.

That works for me! Honestly, at the moment my plans for Valentine's Day tentatively involve going to a bar of some kind with my other single friends.

My birthday is the day before valentines day, I'm single, and I really kind of hate valentines day. But I *do* have a ton of stuff I plan on buying myself from here. I'll be doing nothing on the day of most likely. I'll buy some chocolate and just hang out.

We are doing nothing together, lol. He works at night, and I'm taking my kiddo's to a party at one of their little friends house. However, I did get a keurig coffee brewer yesterday, although it was a valentine's day present.

Just gonna sit at home after busting my butt working all weekend as it'll be busy at the motel. I'll also be sending my package of goodies to my bf so he can enjoy them for valentine's.

I've been spending the past few weeks thinking about what I'll do for my boyfriend for Valentine's Day. We're an ocean apart so we can't make any proper plans for a date, but I am arranging a care package for him which will be sent as soon as I finish knitting his hat! I'm not quite sure what he's got planned but I hope it's something nice.

I guess work goes under the other option. Since I'm a pastry chef and I currently sell out of my apartment, I will be very busy that day. I already have orders for truffles, cupcakes, and a few other things. While it's a fun holiday, in my industry it is a cash cow that you'd best milk while you can. I can have a romantic date later on when it's less crowded.

I have no idea yet. He's talking about going for a romantic dinner at the restaurant he proposed to me at, but with him being out of work right now I don't see how that's gonna be feasible. So I'm not expecting much this year.

I will be working. My boyfriend is aware that I am most likely going to be tired and grouchy that whole week because from all the massages. It is the busiest week of the year at our spa. It will be nice to get a big paycheck though.

Actually going on a romantic double date! My best friend, her man, my man, me and meat on swords.

No seriously. Brazilian churrasco style restaurant with meat hand carved at your table. Plus, a huge salad bar.

Meat. Salad. Swords.

Yay Valentines Day.

We skip Valentine's day. It's not something we're interested in. We have plenty of lovey dates all year round.

We are probably doing nothing again. Hehe, we are never the ones to celebrate valentines' day. Just spent a lot of money to buy Christmas presents for each other, and don't have the budget to splurge.

He always gets me flowers, cards, candy (something special, like ordering SEE's Chocolate), as well as some nice lingerie and toys. We make a big deal of Valentines day. Heck, a holiday devoted to LOVE, SEX, flowers and CHOCOLATE? Who could ask for more???
