With Halloween right around the corner, I was wondering how many Eden Fans are into vampires? Do you enjoy a certain movie? Which movie? Do you or have you ever dressed up as a vampire for Halloween?

My favorite movie is John Carpenters Vampires.

I dressed up as a Vampire for Halloween as a kid.

I love the Underworld trilogy. I found John Carpenters Vampires needlessly bloody, but I did enjoy it as well.

I liked the Hellsing series a while back, but I lost interest when the mangas became just page after page of black blotches because the last three volumes or so were just a giant war.

I have to say that I am into vampires, though there is no particular piece of fiction that enjoy. I did in the past LARP Vampire: the Masquerade and Vampire: the Requiem.

I loved the Hellsing series too. It's one of the few manga/anime series in which I see vampires portrayed close to their monstrous origins (Anne Rice, Twilight, Vampire Knight, etc makes me want to pull out my hair screaming). 30 Days of Night was also a great one too for the same reason.

For dressing up, it'd be real hard to pull off that sort of look/character, but if you can, I tip my wide-brimmed hat to you.

Used to be into the whole Anne Rice thing, kind of grew out of it, working on a book with a vampire MC now who spends more time staring longingly at burgers than sucking neck.

Funny that you mention dressing up as that sort of character. I have a friend from Ghana who is very dark skinned, and he decided he wanted to cosplay Alucard. He wore a white suit, red shirt and tie, long black wig, bitchin' sunglasses and fangs and proclaimed himself Alucard on vacation in Rio.
