I rarely do, but sometimes I like to. However, I carry a knife and keep it in my hand, inside my pocket ready to go. I live in the city and it's not a great area. I live within 1000 ft of 3 registered sex offenders whose charges were abduction and sexual battery. So, I am scared.

Not now but when I was young and dumb I was fearless and I did a lot I was so dumb hanging out in the woods and sneaking out of my house to go swimming in our public pool at 2 AM at 12 years old have an older sister so we were hell on my momma she was constantly at us Poor women I made it an effort at 18 that I was so sorry for it all

I wouldn't say "scared". You just sound like you're being reasonably cautious.

I don't go out much around me. The bad side of Pontiac is just a little too close for my comfort.

I usually do, but here in our little suburban slice of town, everyone is usually in bed around 3 AM when I go out walking.
To be safe I do usually carry a small switchblade knife though, and I've been considering some pepper spray during the warmer seasons.

I suppose I really ought to consider being a bit safer about it really, but I usually have the dog with me too, so people tend to steer clear. (he's a barker...but not actually viscous.)
