So, the hubby and I have finally started to have unprotected sex again after 4 years of preventing pregnancy.

I have been feeling a little weird for a few days, so I decided to take a test.

I was just wondering if any of you gals have experienced weird test results? For example, this is how mine went.

Equate brand +/- test

About 60 seconds in, a vertical line pops up and then disappears into a negative line. Keep in mind, you can still see where the positive line crossed the negative one. 3 mins in and there is only a EXTREMELY faint negative line, however; the control line is WAY out there noticeable. I figured if the test was defective the control line would be a little wonky.

Anyone have any idea what the deal is? I've read in numerous places that it means you're pregnant but no prominent positive because it's too early. I will officially drive myself nuts until I can get another test. :/ Any advice?

Get another test. Pretty good chance you're pregnant. If you're dying to know you can pop into a Planned Parenthood and ask for a blood test or any of the family clinics/quick clinics/doc-in-a-box places.

I always did the first response tests with my two pregnancies and both times the lines were super faint because I tested so early. But both times I was pregnant

I'd guess there's a reason some tests are sold in multi-packs.

Hopefully, you have a Planned Parenthood nearby who can help!

Ahh, I'm nervous! lol

I am thinking it was because it's too early so I've decided to wait a week to retest.

So I retested twice and they were both negative. Even used a digital test.

Ah well! Next time...

Avoid blue dye tests. They are not as reliable as the pink dye. Get an FRER or Dollar Tree brand.

Oh, I didn't see your update. If you're trying to get pregnant, my advice is to get ovulation testers (again, Dollar Tree). Do the deed once you see the faintest of lines. Then buy a pineapple. Cut off the sides to get to the core then cut the core into 5 sections. Eat one section of pineapple core per day. I'm not joking. It helps make the uterine lining more receptive to the egg implanting. PM me with any questions! Best of luck!
