We all hear about those weird shows where they are trying to get folks to eat "high end delicacies" Righhhht. So thats what they call roadkill these days eh? Some of this stuff is just so out there, I can't even begin to imagine. Then again, I know that several of those that think meat is gross all together find us barbaric for eating a steak lol.

So, my question to all of you is, what is the STRANGEST or GROSSEST food you've ever consumed? Deer heart, bull testicles, frog legs, snake, etc etc.

I suppose too this could go for any sort of vegan or veggie lover! Not sure what kind of "weird" stuff would be in that category, but Im sure there are some we'd love to hear about!

I've had alligator, rabbit, squirrel and other "low-country" foods (my dad's side of the family is a mixture of Creole and Cajun and Native American), but those aren't weird so much as they are terribly disgusting.

Starfruit is pretty disgusting...and that's really about it. I'm not adventurous when it comes to food these days.

there was horse in Japan. Grilled potato bugs in South Korea. Both pretty weird as far as food goes.

I haven't had anything that weird. Some of my friends consider my love of sushi weird but that's pretty darn mainstream.

A tiny, tiny piece of raw beef from a dish an Ethiopian friend made. I hated it (of course I didn't tell her that, lol.) Other than that, I don't eat much "weird" food.. Does a chunk of Parmesan or Romano cheese count?

The absolute weirdest would have to be meal worms and grasshopper! When I was a kid I ate a chocolate covered grasshopper and tons of mealworms cooked with some kind of spice! I had gotten them at Bullfrog day camp at our local aquarium and when I went to school I carried the worms in my lunchbox. None of my friends would dare eat em' ,but I did. After a few months, my lunchbox would not come clean of the smell! Ha Ha. I even got a badge that said something about I ate a bug at bullfrog camp. The grasshoppers tasted like kit kats. Would I EVER do it now? Absolutely hell no! LOL. I am totally freaked and grossed out by insects now.

I would also never do the testicles or ANYTHING like that.
