for me, its the cellular phone bill.
"Noun 1. tax bill - money owed for taxes "

Besides, I said this in reply to an earlier person asking if taxes count:
"But, besides that, yes, your tax bill counts if you want..."

For my discussions, I try to be as inclusive as I can, so generally, if someone has kept the spirit of the topic, that is good enough for me. If they find their student loans or other debts that they pay on a payment plan, I consider that good enough. I can only consider so many options when writing a title & can't always cover all the bases, my fault, not any of the respondents, sorry.

I am sick just reading that! And I totally agree about the bank fees! Unless I zip it right now, this could easily devolve into a rant, so I will spare everyone, and just stick to what I've said.

Yeah, they charge me for the rain that goes down the drain, too! They calculate the amount of impermeable surfaces, including your house & adjust the rate for that, too. When I was sick, my water bill was about $14 for 3 months while my sewer bill was $57!!! I live alone in a small house & it may seem a stupid, little thing, but holy crap, I already pay city taxes that cover sewer! The city is challenging the added sewer cost in court, but in the meantime, I have to pay, or lose service!

While a mortgage payment is something to fear and I may agree with some of the posts made on this thread, I look upon the mortgage payment more as an "investment" in my house! It builds equity over time.

While it may be my biggest monthly expenditure, I still believe TAXES is the most prohibitive "expense" in my book! That is why I live in a state which has NO INCOME TAXES and I buy goods in a joining state that has NO SALES TAXES! For what we (I) receive in services by paying taxes that I already do in my state/country, I just find that it is wasted. I have seen too often that when you give government a portion of "your money" (in the form of taxes), then the 'powers-to-be' (a/k/a politicians) will only spend it all-the-more in their own personal "pet projects" which may or may not be in the best interest of our local community. Let us not forget that TAXES is only a means (a mechanism) of redistributing wealth from the have's to the have not's!

The water bill. It isn't the biggest bill we have, I just ALWAYS forget about it!
