What do you think is the meaning of life?

I'm just wondering, because everyone's perception is different.

Eat, drink and be merry because one day you'll be dead and that's that.

Not certain there is a meaning. Just kinda is. There's many reasons for life from religion to science but I think we fill in the meaning after the fact. Life is what we make it. Is there a greater purpose I don't know. Just making the future better for our children is where I'm at. I guess the fact that life exists has to be enough.

Granted a deeper meaning could be to get as many Eden toys as possible in this life time

Apparently not one of my philosophical nights sorry

Lol, that reminded me of Bender from Futurama.

I don't think that there is a meaning of life. I think you can give your life meaning by being a good person and doing your best to live your life in a productive way, helping others when you can. If you are who you are, you share what you can, and you live your life for YOU and not for somebody else; you can have a wholly fulfilling existence. However if you live your life to make somebody else happy, or to have the most, or be the best, you will always fall short of your own expectations and will never achieve true happiness.

In the end the answer is 42 - because it was Lewis Carroll's favorite number.

^_~

In all honesty, I'm still figuring it out; it changes as we go through life and take on - or lose - things, people, and circumstances. There's reason enough to believe that it's all random occurrences sprung from biological processes, and there's also reason enough to believe there's a great destiny at work where we achieve apocastastsis. It could be as individual as having and raising a family, or being an instrument of peace. It could also be being able to play and enjoy this physical existence while we're here.

So I suppose it's subject to individual interpretation.

LMAO jk...

Endure Endure Endure.

There is no "meaning". It just is.

There however is worth to life. That is an individual analysis and can be measured by subjective or objective principles.

In my view there is no objective meaning or universal value to life or anything else. Reality is whatever you choose or interpret it to mean. There are no absolute Truths only particular truths and interpretations. The only value that exists is the value that you have assigned to it.

That's a good way to put it, and very much how I feel.

The true purpose of life is procreation and caring for the next generation until it is viable so it can repeat the process. We are thinking creatures though and as far as the meaning of life for us? I think it's whatever gets you up in the morning. Being happy more often than you are sad, and enjoying the little things, great moments, amazing sex all of these things are the meaning of life to me.
