I am curious to know, what is everyone's current job status?
Do you like your job now? What was your favorite job? and Do you feel like you get paid enough for what you do?




I know some of this is personal, but I am curious. For my psychology class(interpersonal development), we are talking about the effect of careers on people's well-being.

Personally, I do not care for my job right now, but it could be worse. I work at an answering service as a dispatcher/operator. My favorite job was web cam modeling(feel free to ask questions about that.) I feel like I get paid enough for what I do,but do wish I made more.

I'm an artist and I enjoy it. Doesn't pay as much as I'd like but it does the trick for now.

I'm seriously interesting in your modeling. I even checked out a few ... the chat part anyway before someone snaps them up for a private show.

I really wanted to be a maternity nurse but didn't like the idea of having to go through normal nursing first.

I think if you really want to be a nurse, you should give schooling a chance.


Also, the modeling is nice, there are several sites you can sign up to if you just want to give it a try, or message me or post on my wall if you have specific questions and I would be more than happy to answer them to the best of my ability.

I'm too old now and I live in the sticks. Plus, I don't like the sight of blood (as in blood coming from areas it shouldn't...lol) so I wouldn't last the normal nursing part.

I can deal with birth blood and all that - I was lucky enough to be invited to sit in on a friends home birth. It was the most amazing thing I have EVER seen or been a part of. Totally awesome!

Thanks, I have been meaning to ask you more questions about the caming. I'd like to lose more weight and then see how I'd go.

Oh! I'm a cam model too and I absolutely adore it. The money is decent and I always have loads of fun. If you ever want to hear things from multiple perspectives, feel free to talk to me about it as well, Shellz.

I also work in a lab doing research with a professor at my university. This is more what I intend to do some day (though I must admit, I have way more fun modeling).

I'm a full time mommy. I love it, besides the fact I work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and don't get as much "me time" as I should..To put it into perspective..I've hung out with friends, without the kids only twice in the past 3 years! I do love my job though

I'm a student and also an RA. It's a love-hate relationship. I love being able to help out new students and seeing them grow is extremely rewarding, but I also have a good number of people who make my life a living hell just because I have to enforce the rules. It's one of the most unappreciated student jobs one could have, I think.

Still, it's changed my career path to student affairs so I should be happy about that

I work in retail. I love my job. My boss is SUPER flexible. He gets that my daughter is my main focus and so I work the hours she is in school. Leave when she leaves, come home when she comes home.

Thankyou - I find the cam model idea so intriguing and have read a little on one of the sites. Some models can earn extremely good money.
More money means more toys...hehehe.

Not to mention the fact that I've had customers from my site buy me many sex toys! As well as some Victoria's Secret undergarments.

I have been a commercial airline pilot for the past 4 years. I don't like my job right now because I am WAY underpaid for what I do, but I do love flying. It is really hard to enjoy a job where you are gone from home 4 days at a time, with crazy schedules, working every holiday possible and weekends, and getting minimal pay.

Ouch - the pay and schedules don't sound like fun but to be able to fly would be awesome!
I love planes - I just don't get on one often at all. I need more money

I am a SAHM and I work part time at Old Navy. I hate working retail and I hate being away from my kids at night for dinner and bedtime.

I'm an out of work medical transcriptionist... so if anyone knows of anything... give me a holler! It's a horrible business though. You have to go to school for it, but all companies want 5-7 years experience, but if I don't get a job, I can't get the experience, AND since it's mostly at-home now, all job applications are online, so it automatically weeds out the ones who don't have enough experience.

Worst money spent on something that has gotten me into debt in loans. What a waste!

I know! I used to date a pilot and I was SHOCKED at what he made. I guess they just take advantage of the fact that the pilots love flying so much.

You would think with the level of responsibility that pilots have, they should make great salaries.

I am currently a massage therapist, but I only work part time now bacause I went back to school this fall for nursing.

I love my job, but the pay is not stable so I've had a hard time learning to budget. I'd like a job where I can get insurance and vacation/sick leave and just have a steady paycheck. It takes an act of God for me to get a weekend off right now

Right now I'm a Momma and wife. Usually I run my own Photography business. Been doing it for several years and I love photography but I don't really like dealing with people and money and after getting majorly burned by the company I freelanced for I shut down for a bit to see if I still want to do it.

That's the worst part about it all, is that when I am in the plane with the door locked, I absolutely love my job. It is always a challenge, and it so much fun.

It is absolutely absurd. I am flying around with 50 paying passengers lives in my hands, and after 4 years at my company, I am still only making about $35,000 a year. I should have just been a UPS driver, making much more money, home every night, and getting to work outdoors.
