What gender do you prefer to hang out with? :)

Contributor: DreamWolf DreamWolf 05/16/2012

To me a person is a person, but I always liked to hang out with males muchmuch more than females ever since kindergarten! :D (I can't remember anything earlier... ^^) Females are wonderful when it comes to comforting you, but for some reason I always felt that I enjoyed talking with males and they seem to approach topics on a level what is more "usable" in the practical sense, or even just some philosophical chatting away... And they wanna hang out with you like a buddy, not just pull yer legs to do stuff together all the time, pop up at yer home, go to places just to hang out - females seem to need more attention, and I am more private, like having things my way, and it always seemed to match with male company muchmuch better... :D (No offense of course, depending on the personality of the female I can enjoy their company very much too... :D

Ok, I know, for me as long as I have my Master (before Him: as long as I had my loves) I need nobody else in the whooooooooooooooole widewide world - and even for friends I prefer to talk with males, gods know why... (And He doesn't mind it as I pick only reliable close friends, having only one really now, my "virtual Dad"... ^^)

I've always gotten along best with boys, I just seem to clash with women too much! I mean I certainly have a lot of great female friends, but women are much less... Emotionally reliable? I like reliability!

I'm a female and prefer to hang out with guys. Most girls (in my town) were catty and dramatic.

It depends on my mood. THere are times when hangin' with the girls is very interesting lol. Some of their witty remarks or funny stories are nice to listen to. Its more chilled with them. (most of the time). I don't really have any catty friends that are drama filled, so it wouldn't be a problem in that aspect.

The guys-I love hanging out with them. Poker nights, shootin' pool, shootin' the shit about just anything in general. Then of course there are those talks about "the mrs." and how things are going, venting etc. Theres just some things you can't talk to the opposite sex about sometimes.!

I LOVE Poker! I'm a female and normally there are very few females at the tables when our friends host a game. I don't attend them very often, though. I don't mind hubby going to the games without me. It gives him some extra "me time" to hang with the guys. Sometimes the buy in's are much too high for either of us to play.

I looooove hanging out and spending time with my partner, and he's a man (opposite sex). However if I'm going out with friends, it's always my group of girlfriends (same sex), and we have the BEST time!

Usually opposite gender. I don't think it's a competition issue or anything, I just tend to get bored with what people of my same gender have to say. I have just a handful of interesting friends of the same gender.

Guys, and guy-ish girls. I don't have a great deal in common with prissy women.

I much prefer, "Hey, let's go find a cool beer to try, then practice photography, video games, and hitting each other. Or we could just go dig a hole and see what we find. Or hey, let's go skeet shooting! Ooh, then we can watch The Godfather!" My besty is my perfect match.

I love being around cool people. People who are pretty chill and don't invite drama into our friendship. I don't care if you're a male or female, just be as drama-free as possible.

Most of my friends are female, as I am involved in a roller derby league, but I get along with both, equally.

When I was younger, girls were so mean to me, so I naturally drew towards the opposite gender. Now as I've gotten older, I prefer to do like-activities with women, but find myself easily irritated when our values are not in sync.

I will say it doesn't matter the gender, it's the mind set that matters. I'm 26 and not married, but in a long term committed relationship. I don't want kids, call me mean or evil, I just don't like kids. I have no desire to start a family, and I'm not in a huge rush to get married even if I'd like to. Other women my age aren't always in this place, they are often concerned with kids, wanting kids, getting married if they are not, getting a guy if they don't have one, and stuff like this. I'm okay with where I am and I'm not following the normal path.

This can make it difficult to find someone I can really be good friends with, I don't wish to see pictures of people kids and endlessly hear about them, so I don't have any friends with children it seems. Or if I do they are older women who are past that point in their life and the kids are adults or almost adults.

With men my age, since I'm in a relationship, I'm less likely to click since there's less of a chance. While I can talk with them about sports, I don't work with many men, so it's a mot point it seems. I'd say I'd prefer female friends to male, but in the past I've had more male friends since they came with slightly less drama.

Guys. I really dont get along with many females, our interests are just too different. I like nerdy stuff like star wars and video games. I cant talk about girl stuff, I find it awkward. And girls are way too catty. I cant stab someone in the back like almost every girl I met can or talk behind peoples backs. Its just not in my nature.

I have a lot of friends (who I don't really see often) and they are both guys and girls. I would say I hang out with more girls because hanging out with guys can complicate things with my relationship, except with a few guys. I'm bisexual but I love women...talking to them, hanging out with them, having sex with them...Yah, if I could only be with one gender for the rest of my life, it would be women. I get along with guys better than females. One reason is because the females around here (where I live) are scandalous and two-faced. Every female friend I have ever had, has stabbed me in the back (or heart). I would love to have a real friend but just doesnt work out for me that way. Another reason is because I am blunt, I dont pussy foot around things. Most females want to hear what they want to hear, even if it isnt the truth. I dont play those games. Guys are just like whatever. I am the girly girl that is one of the guys.

It depends, if its my fiancés (Mom, grandmother, or sister) I prefer to hang out with women. But if it's no one that is related to me in anyway, I prefer to hang out with men because women don't like me for some reason(Unless they are older) and by older I just mean older then me somewhere around 40.

In my experience - guys.
They are more laid back, they are less easily offended (most of them that I've med)

They will talk about something other than the guy their dating, hair and clothes. But some do that too... except not as much as the girls/women I've been around.

My mom has coworkers at the house sometimes - and they'll bring their daughters and it's like a friggin hen fest in the kitchen. They have huge makeup boxes, nail polish talk about who married who, who's have a baby, who is cheating BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH - every time... or work place gossip and bitching about other coworkers.

Same happens when an old highschool friend and her roommate/friend are together... hair, boys, hair, their boyfriends, and recently what people we used to run with are up to.
