Aw, I like snakes. I've never really had any pets that I consider odd (my old budgie probably is the most exotic animal I've ever had), though really it's hard for me to think of any animal as odd to begin with. I suppose the oddest pet I've ever heard of would be pet rocks.

My dad used to have 3 ducks. He named them Huey, Dewey, and Louie. They used to follow him around outside and he liked to put them in the bathtub all the time. lol.

The "craziest" thing I ever had was a hermit crab. Not that I think hermit crabs are crazy, but I have had a lot of traditional pets.. Fish, hamsters, etc.

The weirdest pets that I ever personally owned were tadpoles from a pond outside and sea monkeys! I put the tadpoles in my 10 gallon fish tank. It was fun watching them change. Oh, and I also had caterpillars that changed into butterflies. It's that thing you can buy on tv, amazing butterfly habitat. It was neat. I let them go at the park.

I currently have an Amazon parrot I inherited, I don't really think it's odd, but I guess it's not extremely common.
I also had Degus for years, which I suppose isn't very common either.

Ive never had anything that odd. Saw a show on animal planet before and this person had pet alligator and another a hippo.
