I am one of the nicest people in the world until I see people like this. Then I just want to smack the attitude right off their faces. I refuse to put up with it. People like that just want to brings others down and that's not cool.

The sad part is we all know people like this, and we come across people we don't know almost on a daily basis who are like this. When I meet someone like this I just brish them off, but really I would like to ask them what is happening in their lives that makes them so bitter. There are a few who may have legitimate reasons, but I think most are just crabby because they like the negative attention it gets them.

You met my ex-husband, didn't you?

(No, sorry, he's in Arkansas now, he moved with me when I left.)

Passive-aggressive types who need to grow up. That's what I always thought of my husband, so it applies to the rest, too.

They need a swift kick in the ass. It's called an attitude adjustment and I used to get them all the time as a kid.

I used to be one of those people and then I grew up and realized the world doesn't revolve around me. It's not other people's problem that I didn't get my way.

There are several people that I encounter on a daily basis that act this way and I just don't understand how they can keep functioning when the world so obviously hates them.

Did you ex husband need to buy decals? I had a customer at the end of the day that was too rude and it made me think of this thread. It is like, what do we actually think of people like this?

I think it's really sad, and they're awful to be around. They can change if they want to and feel the need to. But if they just continue to be that way, it's not good to even be around them because they can be really toxic people. In the end, you might even wonder if YOU'RE the crazy one!

I have a former friend who is that way. Her whole family is pretty much like that. I have minimal contact with her, maybe see her 1 or 2 times a year now at most.

OMFG this is pretty much my father. But I know people like this to. My sister in law's sister's husband fits this to a T. He's horrible and terrible and is ruining their family and pulling my sister in law and her sister apart. He is a condescending son of a b*tch. We are also sure he physically and verbally abuses his wife. I honestly wouldn't mind if he drowns in a pool someday or something. lol that sounds really horrible, but if you knew this guy you'd feel the same.
It sucks people are like this. I don't understand. It's like can't you just be a decent human being?? It's very sad. This people just rub me the wrong way, and i'd never want to be around anyone like that. I'm just so tired of people like this. I'd quit my job if anyone was like that at my work.

I try not to let these sort of things bother me. But i'm weary of it all. I need to hang out with nicer happier people for a while haha.

I definitely know people like this. I honestly just try to have as little to do with them as possible. I hate being around people who are just so full of themselves that they can't ever see somebody else's point of view and believe their own version of things to the point that it actually becomes their reality. People like that can't reason, and I just don't want to associate with them.

I am seem shy when you first meet me, but if you are like this in front of me I will straight up tell you to go fist fuck yourself. I can't stand people who do this, since I grew up with a step grandmother who did this. She also had to talk about everyone behind their back and to their face be all nice. I can't stand people like this and I will tell them exactly how I feel about them. However in your case I would of kept my mouth shut since that would have to do with business. Having jobs were you have to deal with costumers is awful since you have to deal with the unhappy ones too. I have seen these people standing at line in the stores yelling at the cashier, get a life and move on.

Generally, i find that they just need an eye opener to see how bitchy they are. they get better then.

I hate that the standards for "good customer service" prevent me from telling them off at work, or else I'll get in trouble. My dad also acts like this a lot.

Multi-response:

1. I vote them out of office (any office!).

2. They're people I avoid, if at all possible.

3. Zombie bait.

Generally, avoidance is best. Call them on it if you can prove it.

I typically try to separate myself from people like this. But i have a problem with acting like this sometimes, so i also try to be understanding.

Well no one is perfect, and if one or two or even three of these characters available in one person so no problem for me. But if he\she has it all, then I should avoid him\her.

This kind of person reeeeeeeeeally gets on my nerves, and I honestly havent figured out the right way to deal with them and keep my sanity, hopefully that will come with age/experience though.

I'm not too social to begin with, so I don't have an issue ignoring these types of people. If I do interact with these personality types, I perform the bare minimums for "business" with them or whatever, and then go on with my day.

Well honestly, it's difficult to respond any way except the expected way when the only things in the list are universally negative traits. Nobody likes someone who has no redeeming qualities.

Not worth my time. They're contagious. I am always respectful and I refuse to fall prey to their bs.

Wow. I don't love being around people like that and will avoid them. Those kind bring everyone down around them and I don't want to let that happen. The only person I can think of that I currently know that's like that is a fam member and to be painfully honest, she's so hurtful to us (her family.)

I understand when somebody's having a rought patch and complain often. I'll try to be the person that brings em' up, but when the person begins to "suck the life out of you" as my parents say, I have to stay away for my own well being. Attitudes are so very contagious and I don't have time to catch a nasty one. I'll be there and will not complain one bit until I see that they do nothing to help themselves, use me and not care about others around them at any point. That's when they NEED to be dropped or stood up to.

I will usually go along and try to just give the person whatever they're searching for. If it's someone to just bitch to, I'll be your person! IF it's someone to cry to, I'm there too. I won't keep on if they won't make any effort to change their own problems.
