What is your relationship with coffee?

Contributor: Red Red
I'm a grad student. I drink 3 large tumblers a day.

Sometimes I think I should stop - then 3pm rolls around and magically, there's a 16ozer on my hand. What the?

I drink excellent coffee black, and bitter coffee with cream and sugar. I french press to start my day out.

Love this poll.

Love coffee.

That is all

I'm more of a coffee with my milk & sugar kinda gal - although I do have a hearty appreciate for freshly ground high quality, french press, etc.

Still - I will also confess to LOVING the BK Mocha Joe. I don't care where it comes from. It's damn yummy.

I love coffee and used to drink it everyday...and I crave for it now. I moved to decaf. Why? Well...I have a little ball of cells growing that I'd like to eventually meet in 30 weeks. At the suggestion of my doc, go off the caffeine due to previous issues.

I'm trying to reach Voltaire status.

Voltaire, if you didn't know, drank between 50 and 75 cups of coffee per day.

I'm a tea drinker. The first time I ever had tea and liked it was when I was pregnant with my son and had a cold. Of course, I was too freaked out to take any sort of cough drop or cold medicine so my mother in law gave me a cup of a decaffeinated green tea and I've been in love with it ever since.

I will however, buy one of those $8 deserts (that's not what a coffee is really supposed to be is it?) at Starbucks or a cheap little cappuccino at WaWa if I need a pick me up. My husband has G6PD so he's not allowed to have coffee, I don't try to tease and tempt him with it so if I do get a coffee I'll drink it in private.

Same here...caffeine in the past pregnancies has lead to various nasties so this time I just figured it wasn't worth it. I don;t wanna be on blood pressure meds if I can help it.

Strangely, we have an espresso machine but no normal coffee machine. I'm not complaining, though. I can have cappuccinos whenever I want!

Like.... right now.

Having an Espresso Machine sounds AWESOME!!! I always buy the Pilan (or Pilon) finely ground espresso packages and use them to make coffee. I would probably drink too much if I could drink espresso everyday.

My partner left the house before sharing our usual morning espresso with me, so I drank the whole batch myself... I'm a bit shaky and probably drank too much, yeah.

I don't drink coffee anymore although we do have some of the best coffee in the world right here in smoggy Hawaii (all the islands are smoggy and voggy). Coffee making is an art.I do drink a lot of arginine and caffeine sports performance products, so I am already getting over caffeinated.

I technically drink only espresso. Coffee tastes like brown water, but espresso is heavenly.

Also, we ran out today. I had a killer caffeine withdrawal headache by 10 am, nearly fell asleep driving twice, fell asleep when I really needed to be paying attention...

Alas, flavored coffee still smells quite like coffee, with the barest TINT of sweetness.
