Just to get plenty of rest and plenty of fluids.

I can't afford to miss any work right now, so treat the symptoms, load up on vitamins, and carry on like nothing's wrong.

I'm sick most of the times from sinus problems, anyway so I can't really tell when I'm "really" sick!
I just wait it out, unless I think I have a sinus infection...
SLEEP does help!
Really does--best thing to do, IF you are able to do it!

Mostly I just take some Nyquil before bed and then deal with it during the day because the day time stuff gives me that uber-unpleasant medicine head feeling.

I am super sick, too, but (finally) almost over it. I do a strict regimen of medicinal tea and rest - lemon and honey and echinacea to beat it, ginger if my stomach hurts, slippery elm if my throat hurts, mint and eucalyptus or cayenne if I can't breathe (like today!)

Also, I really like hot bouillon or soup with lemon. Miso is great! Chicken soup from scratch, with the bones and cartilage boiled for a few hours to make homemade stock, if I have the energy!
