I said severe thunderstorm, but really it's blizzards.

Only been here for four years, mostly lightning/thunderstorm s are the worse. We do get some heavy snow fall (For UP here) but they are pretty mild compared to what we are use to back in Colorado. There had been two mild tornadoes too but not real close.

I live outside Chicago, so thunderstorms, (and blizzards, which you didn't mention) floods and tornadoes. We've had some microbursts that were pretty scary! One One ripped right down the street perpendicular to our street, while my youngest and I were at her Sensory Therapy a few years ago. We were trapped in the building (an other microburst hit there, too) and the few men in the building were holding the doors shut as the women and teachers and therapists held all the screaming children. We drove home through destruction. Not a lot of houses were completely damaged, but the trees were badly hit, and even pieces of the street were torn up. It was scary as heck.

The microburst seemed to almost directly follow one of the arterial streets in our village for a few miles.

We mostly see thunderstorms in summer and blizzards in winter. We also occasionally get tornado warnings.

I'm sorry about that. I actually tried to edit my post after I made it but, I guess the poll's cannot be edited.

None of those really happen often. I live in Arizona we occassionaly get bad thunder storms and right now fires are a problem, but none of these happen that often.

North Carolina is sometimes in range for Hurricans, but we've yet to have one since I lived here. Mostly severe thunderstorms. I miss living where we got snow. One winter we had two huge storms in a row and I got to enjoy some quality time home with K and just enjoy the time off together.

Severe thunderstorms and floods mostly, unless blizzards count too.
Though this winter was wonderfully mild for this area...I didn't even have to shovel! :3
