What would be your ideal wedding?

Mine would be to sign the forms at a courthouse and call it a day, but what is yours?

This is not bound by realistic constraints such as money, but is bound by physical constraints. For example, on an episode of the simpsons where marge was getting her third marriage to homer, she went bridezilla and wanted blue roses, which don't exist. Another example from a show whose name escapes me is where the bride wanted the invitations to say sunrise by the coast, but they were on the west coast where the sun only sets. Or it may have been the other way around.

The point is, it can't include things that aren't physically possible, such as real blue roses (although marge did get some genetically altered one at the end) or sunsets where it only rises. So, what's your ideal wedding?

Backyard wedding with a gothic theme to it, bouquet of black and white roses (hey, you said have to be physically possible, and I never said REAL roses haha) and lots of candles lining the isle. Dinner will include burgers and pizza. Because despite having money for something better, we both want to keep it small, simple and fun.

But blue roses are possible - stick a bouquet of white roses in a vase filled with water and blue food coloring and they'll turn blue. I did this. I plan to do it for my own wedding should I ever get married again.

Anyway, I've been fantasizing of Master and I having a very small and intimate wedding at the British Shop in the downtown historic neighborhood, then all of us (two friends as witnesses, my parents and brother, the officiant, and the shop owner) walking to the Irish Pub for lunch. I want to hire a professional photographer to capture the whole thing ... walking through the historic district in wedding gear while tourists are around really appeals to me. Oh, and then have an afternoon tea reception for the rest of our friends and family.

I think I've been reading too much Off Beat Bride.

No wedding. I did not want a wedding, nor did I want to get married. I had kind of a shotgun wedding... We went to the courthouse thinking we could just "sign the papers", but they made us go into this stupid, ugly room with a fake gazebo while the judge had us recite some retarded verses. He nearly kicked me out because he said "I wasn't taking this seriously." I told him "you're damn right!"

wow, really? they certainly try to force that stuff own our throats don't they? I'm not a fan of weddings either, I just don't see the point behind the pomp and circumstance.

We got married at a beach that means a lot to us. Just a preacher, two witnesses and us. Wrote our own vows and had one amazing honeymoon. After we got home, we invited everyone to a barbeque at our house and let them know we were married. Perfect and very special to both of us!!!

Elope, and then throw a big party. Or a very, very small ceremony, and a big celebration afterwards.

My ideal wedding would be on the beach. With a small group of people. I would do it around 5 at night. My dress would be short and the man im marrying would be in a funky colored tux. When im walking down the aisle the music would start up traditionally and then switch to a dance song where the brides maids and grooms men would have a choreographed dance. It would be different and amazing.
