I graduated H.S., preggers and then had another a year later. A few years after, I decided to go back to school, single mom, full-time job, two kids. I couldn't cut it.

I had to go back to working two jobs.

Now that I'm married and my kids are a few years older and I don't have to work, I want to go back, but have no clue what I want to do.

I graduated high school in 2004. I was given a choice by parents to either start paying rent or go to school. I had no idea what I wanted to go into, but knew that I could not afford rent at that point, so I took some general studies courses. After about a semester and a half of that, I didn't see myself going anywhere and was getting pretty depressed about it. My mom was getting sick and needed help at work, so I quit school and went to work with her as a dental assistant at a very small practice. I worked and helped paid the bills for a while, until the office closed for renovation. When they re-opened, they only kept the one dental hygienist and the receptionist. So, both of us were out of a job. By that time, my mom was pretty sick and the time I had when I wasn't working was spent taking care of her, because my dad was an alcoholic and was gone for days at a time. This was in 2005. By 2008, my dad had passed away in a car accident and my mom had just had major surgery, so I was caring for her almost full time at that point. Then my mom passed away in 2009. I had a really hard time dealing with that and still do sometimes. I am just now contemplating going back to school. I want to pursue a degree in English. The one thing I love to do is write and I would love to be able to make a living doing so. I believe that my skills as a writer would greatly improve with a degree, so I am really looking forward to going back.

I refused to go to high school, got my GED at 18 and started college shortly after that. My major has changed three times and time-wise I have two years because of the way the schedule for the last 6 classes I need for my major works out. I started out in sociology which was changed to history from there I jumped to math and when I changed schools this summer I declared chemistry as my major. If everything works out well I will get a double major in Chem and Math since I am so close to the math degree already.

I left public middle school and high school due to health issues. I was homeschooled using a distance learning curriculum, and I earned my GED a few months after my 18th birthday. I was in the 99th percentile for everything expect science. I think I was in the 97th for science, which kind of confused me because I love science. I wish I knew what I got wrong.

I'm currently studying at the local community college. I'm 1 class away from a Computer Programming certificate. I plan on earning an Associate's of Science and transferring to a 4 year school. I'm trying to decide between Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering for my A.S.. Decisions, decisions...

I'm just hoping my health issues don't get worse and muck everything up.
