I did one semester of college- I found it way too easy and was incredibly bored, so it felt like a waste of money.

My depression started getting bad when I was 12 and just escalated from there. My family wasn't exactly understanding or compassionate, so I never got the help I needed. Had they simply settled on home-schooling, things undoubtedly would have gone better.

I have a BS in Business Administration. My husbands currently working toward a BS in Information technology with a Software emphasis and getting some computer certifications along the way. If I go back, I'm going to get enough credits to become a CPA. I won't have to get a Master's to obtain that, but I may eventually down the line, but I want to be able to pass the Accountants exam first and then have money coming in so I can afford to go through a Master's Program. I HATE LOANS so that's how I'll do it.

Best of luck with that. Study up on which medical school TYPE works best with your learning style. There are now different learning systems in US med schools and it will make life SO much nicer if you find one that fits your "style" better.

I was only a couple (2-3) classes from a History Minor though...if that helps.
Friends kid got that same degree....submitted original DVD of his work to a little company called Disney. They have CREATED a division around his new "style" of "cinematic art". I don't know details but HE is sure doing well. Keep your doors open and keep applying for what your DREAM job is. It CAN happen.

I always wanted to go to law school. After three graduate degrees, however, wife said "go get a job". (I actually worked from high school on...born poor...she was joking).

Here are the two questions that can drive you mad, after all those years of study.

1. You go into clinical pharmacy; "can you just mix it into a drip for me and forget about the lecture on what this stuff is".

2. You go into Retail: "Are these bamboo flip flops really worth $2 if the rubber ones are only $1???"

Best wishes!!!!!

Need an Other option here.

I have a GED and went for vocational training in Culinary Arts with advanced training in Pastry and Baking through the Job Corps system. I would love to go to college and breeze through some culinary courses to get some actual degrees, because sadly even with 4 years experience now I don't get taken seriously because I didn't pay one of the big name culinary colleges to say so. I've worked with enough culinary college graduates to know that I'm more than capable than many of them and have real world experience to boot.
