Which would you rather find in your hotel room: the Bible or Fifty Shades of Grey?

Yea, I heard about that... decision last night on the radio. When I got home lastnight, I contacted the person who was in charge of making the decision as well as American Decency in hopes of getting a little support. I'm totally opposed to the bible being replaced with THAT book!

You know, you DON'T HAVE TO READ THE BIBLES! But wanting the bibles out of hotel rooms just because you dislike them doesn't do anything but please you. Why does it matter if there's a bible (this country was built as a "nation under God") in a hotel? You don't have to read it. Heck, you can leave it in a drawer, but it's not right to wish them gone or hope that all bibles are gone just because you do not identify with the religion. A lot of travelling people really find it handy to have a bible on hand. YOUR comment reminded me of this man who was originally from a very different place than our lovely US. He owned a hotel I worked at (here in the US) and demanded that we "hide" each bible in every room. Of course we did not follow that rule, but if it should be the person buying the room's choice, not yours. If you don't want the bible, don't read it, but it should still be available!

If I saw 50 Shades of Grey in a hotel room, I be wondering what other surprises I don't want to recieve. Bible thanks.

Ugh, neither. The Bible, I guess, because of its vast cultural significance.

They're both trashy novels, so neither would be nice.

LOL! This comment made me spit my drink. But seriously, I chose 50 Shades. I'd like to see how bad it is for myself, but refuse to pay for it.

I would choose 50, because if I were bored in my hotel room I would at least like to have a laugh ; )

I would rather see the Bible. If I was traveling with my children, I'd rather not have a book of erotic fiction in an area where they could read it.

Haven't read Fifty Shades yet so I would be eager to read it I think.

I'll try to do that next time I come across a Bible in a public place

Lol, I like this! Although, I haven't read it yet. I JUST started to on Kindle, so I guess I'll see what all the hype is about. But the curiosity does have me drawn to it as I'm trying to go about other things.
