Would you work at Disneyland knowing...

I think working at disney sounds great.
seeing all the kids and families on vacation that they have been dreaming and saving up for and trying my best to make their experience the best that it can be. Making great memories for them sounds like a perfect job

I don't think I could because my cheeks would just hurt so much at the end of the day.
Disney offers credit toward the stage actors guild (or one of the others I dunno anymore which it is) so yes I would do that...it would be difficult cause I generally don't smile with a toothy grin. Still I can be cheerful and happy all day if I needed to...it's all acting after all!

I'm not enough of a people person to work a gig like that!

I wouldn't work there because I don't like large crowds of people.

I could try it. The place I last worked had a rule that we had to smile at all times, too.

No. I would rather go there on vacation. Once something becomes work to me it loses its fun after awhile.

I dunno, I mean I guess if I HAD to and it was a job I wanted and needed. Like now, though I have a 4yr degree, it's not real good in the job market for me and I'm looking for ANYTHING full time or another part time job. Well, I guess not ANYTHING because I refuse to work fast food ever again after KFC in high school for 3 months.

I won't work at Disneyland either way.

That sounds unpleasant.

honestly most places involving customer service require you to smile and depending on your supervisor as long as they are total assholes they wont enforce it as strongly as the rule sounds

I would, even if I'm physically unable to smile because of muscular weakness.. and if they'd try to fire me, that's definately ableist/discrimination , so...

I smile at people all day long anyway, but I would rather keep the job I have than work at Disney.

I can handle the smiling all day, but not the kids and the crowds.

See, I wouldn't be able to do it. Not from any deep well of hatred or animosity, but from a naturally down-turned mouth (seriously, I was born with the edges of my mouth noticeably lower than the center). I'm not a generally unhappy person, but my smiles are bright and brief, because it does take more effort for me to smile. I've been told that my natural expression looks hostile, though I've also been told that it looks thoughtful or enigmatic.

I've been told that I have a lovely smile, but I like to think it's all the lovelier for it's rareness

If I wanted to work there I could handle it. It's really not too different from my job. They push a very positive atmosphere where I work.

I think working there would be a blast. And yanno, when we visit there, that's one thing that makes it special and makes us want to go back - everyone seems happy and is cheerful and pleasant. That's part of the charm of Disney

It's not that hard, you don't have to smile like a psycho.

I'm not a smiley person, but I could do it; it sounds like a fun place to work from what I've heard and read.

Geez, some of you guys make Disney sound like the seventh circle of hell; Oh no, not kids having fun! Not families enjoying a vacation! Not make believe, whimsy and fantasy! Not a job that wants me to not be a downer around people enjoying themselves!

Come on, there are worse things than smiling. I doubt they expect you to smile like a weirdo on drugs. If you've ever worked in customer service, smiling and a good attitude is generally expected.

I'd be able to because I work as a teacher and have to be cheerful all day!

I assume any job that has the words "customer service" in it would require me to simile and I'm pretty sure that would be the least of my problems with the job.

I don't think the smiling would bother me as much as the being around so many children would. Working at disney would not be a good fit for me.

However there are definitely worse jobs out there!
