We own a naughty school girl costume and while discussing when my wife might wear it for a photo session she mentioned that she planned on putting her hair in pig tails to complete the look. Therefore, that leads me to my question...how many of you ladies have worn your hair in pig tails since becoming an adult?

Was it just for bedroom purposes or did you go out in public?

When my hair was long, I did, here and there. Sometimes it was to change things up (I always wore a sloppy bun or ponytail), or for the wavy hair that inevitably ensues (since mine is extremely straight).

Nah, I'll do the occasional pony tail but for the most part, I leave my hair down (or like Carrie, when riding I braid it).

I do them for cutsey occasions. they are often paired with my bedroom school girl outfits, but if I am wearing a plaid skirt to school for real (obviously with more clothing than I would in the bedroom!) I like to throw in pigtails with a little headband. They also make appearances when I am out in the barn, wearing a hat/helmet, or just wanna feel a extra dose of youthfulness! The kids at the elementary school I work at love when I show up in pigtails! hehe

I do it when I dress up or when it's my only practical option. Last year I had a swimming class here at my university and I only had time to wash my hair and quickly put them in braided pig tails before my next class.

Not since my early 20's, when I still looked like a teenager, and it was just to do something different. I haven't felt the need to wear them since.

Maybe once or twice, but they are good for certain types of roleplay scenarios so I could see putting my hair up in pigtails once in a while.

Usually if I want a little something different than my usual bun or ponytail, I'll part it in the back and do the one braid per side look like Wednesday Addams. ^_^
