I was thinking about how much I really DON'T know (lol) and how awesome it would be to have Eden host some sort of "Seminar" or class/workshop for the community on a few things. I posted these thoughts to the community planning thread, so I am hoping that they take these things into consideration. However, I wanted to see just how many of you would be also interested in attending some of these, or if I am just weird (lol). Since being on Edenfantasys, I have learned so much and theres so many things that I see on the site, everyday, that I feel like I just HAVE to learn more about. Of course, I could always just go google these things, but I think it would be MUCH more fun to have some sort of workshop where we could all converse and throw out different questions/answers and really get into a discussion about these things. Someone else may have a question/concern about this stuff that you didn't think about, You never know! So, I have listed a few topics that I think would make for great workshops. Let me know what you think about this idea (or if Eden already does this sort of thing-Im still new to the workshop thing and I've only seen stuff that pertains to how to navigate/work the site etc).

I love this idea too, I really hope that they implement this idea. I really want to learn more about the different genders and "types" of sexual preferences. I think that these workshops would definitely help us to write better reviews too! If you know more about certain genders or "preferences", then you can add that info into your reviews saying stuff like "Such and Such so and so could really benefit from this or it could be used as this and this for this sort of situation". So if we are more in tune and knowledgeable of others and their situations, we can suggest it for them. I think these would really help improve our reviews too Even if you're not interested in perusing that sort of fetish or lifestyle.

I think a Toy Safety seminar or info page would be good. Like why such and such materials are "safer", what kinds of lube you can use with what toys/condoms/whatever, etc.
It will be common knowledge for most, but it might be good for newbies if it was all in one spot.

I said no, I wouldn't attend - but that's mostly because I don't know who would give most of those seminars. I mean, a lot of us could teach a class on material safety, but the more complicated issues of gender and sexuality... I mean will Eden contact doctors, psychiatrists, etc. to run these things? Those aren't just topics that can be well covered and explained by your layperson off the street.
It's a good idea in theory, but Eden is pretty much a sex toy shop. So they focus on selling sex toys. They do have interviews with people/experts in the field sometimes, and you could always ask those folks any questions you have.

I think that those folks, if so inclined, would be a great resource and excellent to teach on those topics. I think those that are most qualified (or at least those that have done their research and contacted such professionals) would be best.

I would love to be able to do things like that on my own though and have more information given to me about certain things and fetishes and stuff.
