I have three australian cattle dogs. The red one is Dante, the blue girl is Gabrielle, and the blue boy is Titus. I also had a black cat named Macbeth before Titus came along.

I have a cat (no idea what kind, he was a stray!), that we named Jack, and a one year old black lab named Ciara (Kiera, but we liked the spelling better with a "C").

My cat got her name because it just popped into my mind and fit when I met her. It was just who she was. The first thing that I thought when I saw that picture of your adorable doggy was "Ada", so if she was mine that would probably be what I'd go with.

What kinds of pets do you have and what are their names? If they have a fun ... more
Awww she looks like a sweet little thing...such soft but scared eyes. I would name her something soft and sweet. I prefer actual names for pets...Mine have been Pete (Shihtzu), Sebastian (Male cat) ect. She looks like an Amanda (which means beloved) or Abigail (Beloved companion)

That would fit the average confident Boston demeanor

Wow, thanks for all the awesome suggestions, folks The one that's stuck in my head right now is "Ruby", but I have a few others in mind as well. She'll be here this Saturday morning. I guess when we'll see what fits!

ACDs are cattle herding dogs. Gabe didn't quite get the difference between a cow and a cat. I picked her up as a rescue because the farmer that originally owned her had goats and sheep. While she never intentionally hurt them, she drove them to exhaustion/stress induced heart attacks. Macbeth liked to play with her, and it didn't work out one day. That happened to be two days before Christmas and a week before I moved back to Atlanta. Broke my heart.

I like Ruby! My husband and I like picking out names from things that are special to us. He's huge into astronomy, and named his new snake Kepler after an astronomer. I'm the english/theatre nerd who came up with the others. But I have to be honest, we named Titus after our favorite comedian.

LOL! Indeed they do. But I think they come with the egos, the name just matches what they already think of themselves.

I had a friend who named his aussie shepard D-O-G. Hard to type that, but basically his name was the spelling of dog.

My dog's name is Sandy, but it probably wouldn't work since your dog is black and white
