How many 'active' Contributors are there currently involved at EdenFantasys?

There are about 33,400 registered Contributors at EdanFantasys. But my question is, how many active Contributors are there currently involved in the Community Forum?

By way of defining "active" it would be anyone who starts a Poll, Discussion, Comparative Discussion, or submits a Review on a monthly basis. In addition, an "active" Contributor is anyone who makes a post to any Thread or Review at least 4 times a month.

I realize there are some Contributors who come and go for a long period of time or perhaps only makes a product purchase, so this question is directed solely at the currently active Contributors in the Community Forum as defined by the perimeters above.

I honestly don't know. I'm horrible at remembering names, and with so many of the same stock avi images, it's sometimes hard to distinguish between people even with their names.

It is really hard to count as people come and go on a regular basis. I am one who had been active a while ago but due to life getting in the way, I stopped coming on the site all together for a while and then took a few months to get back into the forums.

Same here, while I am an active contributor, or as active I can be, I do submit a review at least once a month, and I am constantly in the community, might not always post my self, but I do read a lot of post and vote in polls, it is hard to keep up with everyone since there does seem to be quite a lot. However, compared to the number of registered contributors, i'm gonna say about 1/4 or 1/3 are "active" contributors.

I'm going with there being more than you might think, because they just vote & post one word comments in discussions that get kind of lost. The visible people, the ones doing the frequent posting & reviewing are definitely fewer. But there are tons of reviews submitted by names you've never seen before, they just get lost in the shuffle.

I would love to eventually have a rough estimate about this! I hope Ilya, or someone responds to this thread & gives us an idea. It would be interesting to compare to our perception &/or guesses!

I have no idea on this one! I certainly notice a lot of names, but I don't see all the reviews and all the people that vote just once or twice a month. It would be nice to get more than just an estimate, for curiosity's sake.

I have no idea and wouldn't even know what to guess. I consider myself active but don't do a review once every month. I like participating in the forums with voting and replies to existing posts but am not that great at posting forum questions myself, well not interesting ones. I also mostly respond to reviews when I'm searching either for a suggested product or see something I've purchased that has been recently mentioned in my Profile wall when I first log in. I've just written my first Sexis article so yes, I consider myself an active contributor.

I honestly don't know, but I feel like I see a lot of the same names all the time.
I consider myself fairly active (not in recent months), but I don't often post threads since I don't always feel like I have anything worthy to ask.

I just had to add this interesting thread to this discussion. Here is the link, Have you noticed some of your favorite contributors (not necessarily the recent exodus of the admins) not posting reviews anymore? It does seem that popular Contributors are fading or not very active anymore.

Some of the folks who were very active in the past year have either taken their reviews offsite or been banned. You won't see any posts or reviews from the banned folks, but they still appear in the contributors listing.

I really don't know how to guess the number of active contributors. I do know that the forum posts have dropped by more than 50%. I've also noticed a huge, huge drop in the number of votes & comments made in all the reviews I read, and I read lots of reviews daily. I've also observed a huge, huge drop in Wall posts. showing interest in each other & developing friendships is a big part of developing a strong community. I miss the community. I'm saddened by this. I do understand there are quite a few members w/ many concerns regarding all the EF actions taken since March. I do not argue w/ their opinions - everyone has the right to have their opinions. I just want to see us all have an enjoyable time w/ each other. I may have to duck the slings & arrows tossed my way, but I still believe all the member interactions we used to have was one of the most fun things we had on the site.

Very good comments. I like you idea of having EF perhaps restore some points for us posting messages to Contributor's Wall or adding a Contributor to their 'follow' list! This adds a sense of community!
