Are you a "prepper"? How do you stock up on toys? :):):)

It can be heard more and more nowadays how the economy is going to hell, many people are planning to live off the grid, away from the so much feared "chaos"...

What are your thoughts about it?

Are you a prepper too?

What products do you hurry to obtain if "the world ends as we know it"?

Any ideas, thoughts and experiences?

(Oh my, I am sooo badly on the prowl to get everything I want to own in the coming year or so, lots of planning, and worries too that "what if things turn into hell before I could get everything for the rest of my life!!!" )

Ha... prepper is a funny term. I think of it in terms of "survivalist" but it's basically the same thing.

And yeah, some toys are so integral to my sex life that I do think about what I would take if the world as we know it ended. I'd be ok without a vibrator, spit will work as lube, and condoms turn up everywhere, but some things I'd really miss. Therefore I keep multiple harnesses and cocks, and I'm planning to stock up more on my one of my favorite cocks, Silky, since it's breakable. I also like investing in steel and glass because they're liklier to go the distance.

I've actually never heard of this, but I do not know if I could go without any of my things, my leathers and prosthetics in particular.

I take life one day at a time. I was pronounced dead at the scene of an accident that was not my fault. I was going home to meet my husband for lunch. I made it there two weeks later after being released from the hospital. Whatever I have at the time is good enough for me to feel grateful about.

Exactly how I plan to do it too...

Now strongly considering to get some glass, metal, steel and wooden toys... One never knows...

Not to mention it's better to have a larger selection, so you will use the same toy less often, staying alright longer! ~grins

Well if I can give any advices in case if anyone feels the same and concerned:

- get to know better what you need to keep your already owned and cherished toys last longest

- plan ahead, know what you would need for the long run, and what you'll need to keep em running

- for this it is a good idea to think of powering your beloved devices for years and years

- for this you may want to have rechargeable batteries, for that you can get very cheap solar chargers already (about $20-30), and get rechargeable toys, USB toys, solar vibes, not to mention the solar panels and batteries which don't last for an eternity too, so you'll be able to run yer power corded vibes just fine as well

- always remember to stock up good on such things, to have plenty of power sources, get to know how long rechargeable batteries, solar panels, your own toys can last, have backups, all you can afford to be sure!!!

Other than these, try to purchase sooner what you really want to have, and invest into better quality toys if possible...

"Get ready for the worst and hope for the best!" ~grins

Did I forget to include something? (Why I opened the topic, and to start a useful discussion for the like-minded folks up here...)

Couldn't agree more!!!

Life is a gift, and I do think that the ones who know and feel gratitude for the little beauties of life are the "truly blessed" and able to be the happiest...

And I do think that people grateful and optimistic attract luck and joy into their lives, and things just happen fantasticly all the time!
I know it, I experience it everyday... ~smiles wide and giggles

Satellite...

Another thing you can do is to get as many movies, music and books as possible (I mean for yer computer, so it isn't as bulky... ), download websites with webcopiers too, burn stuff out to DVDs, get a hard drive with a few terrabites, an external one, only plugged in and turned on to move files you wanna be using at the moment, get a spare laptop and/or desktop computer in case if your current pc died, what else, can't think of anything else, you're good to go... ~grins

Infowars.com, that's a pretty damned good source to do research about the topic...

Well if there is anything you regularly purchase, or have to replace, if you stock up on them there will be no problem...

I don't believe in this. At all. I don't believe that there will be an "end of days" in any lifetime I'm able to live in.

They thought this during WWII and the Great Depression. Life continued on for many decades after this, with improvements and progress in terms of technology. The market cycles.

I also think it's pointless to worry about things that have yet to happen, or really even have been indicated to happen. And if the world does end anytime in my lifetime, I can look back and say: I lived, I loved, I had fun, I did the best I could, and now it ends... no regrets.

I'm a firm believer that you can't live life to the fullest if you're worried about the future.

Exactly...

Though, on WWII and the Great Depression, people still lived though, but many died of starvation, they were barely getting by, lost a lot of stuff they had, like their home, lifesavings becoming worthless, so those are tough times to survive, and I don't think I would want to starve, or have any risks that with no medical help I can die because of a simple scratch or cut, or that I have to go to work my ass off and barely eat in a work camp, only because I was too stupid to think ahead, and do a few simple and easy things to be able to live fine on my own... :S

But yep, one shouldn't freak out, and stay calm, fear is a natural instinct, a sign to tell you to be alert, but it can ruin the balance of your soul too, and without balance in you everything is harder in life...

I just generally want to acquire as many toys that I want as I can. Unfortunately as a poor college student I am limited by monies so I can only get toys so fast.
