Healhcare--Yes! I know this is a can of worms!

Well, because I had a hard time understand anything to do with this new healthcare reform and because I had SO MANY issues with getting logged in with my correct information, I am among those who are trying to sign up at the last minute.

Yes, I know, that wasn't a smart thing. I should have done it last night after I had a moment of clarity and understanding and time to do it while at work.

Instead, I waited until this morning and not only are the call centers bogged down, but the website is shot to shit.

So, did you sign up already? Have you yet to sign up? Are you covered through your employer and don't need this. Or are you going to eat the fine? Other answers always welcome, too!

Also, please realize that I am not opening up this dicussion as a means to argue the stupidity/wonderfulnes s of this system. I'm opening this up to discuss who has, hasn't, or otherwise with this. Please try to be kind.

I called quite awhile ago & was told I didn't qualify for the CA assistance offered. as far as the fine, I bet real money that it will be waived for some sort of 'good behavior'. I wouldn't worry about it.

ahha, I sure hope so!

I barely got anything back. What I got back covers about 70% of one of the better plans for me, but that still doesn't negate the fact that I'd still have to pay like $65 out of pocket for insurance, and that's $65 that I can't honestly spare when I can't even buy groceries for myself at this point.

Sucks that I wasted so much time, though.
