I don't play Farmville, I browse EF instead.

That said, I agree, he shouldn't step down over something that 3/4 of the population has ... more

If being a dumbass was a crime or a reason to lose your job, I have a feeling that three-quarters or more of the country would either be in jail or enemployed lol. Its something that he and his wife have to deal with...not me.

I'm sad that he hurt his wife, but it's really none of my or the nation's business. Cheaters are terrible people, but usually the offended partner will shame and punish them enough through social networking and neighborhood gossip that Fox News doesn't need to finish the job.

So I'm on board the Weiner-shouldn't-be-fi red-for-having-a-boner train. Kudos to him for being more in touch with his sexuality, it's probably enabled him to think more clearly and be a better leader because he's not distracted by sexual repression. I just don't think he should be sending any social messages while at work for the same reason I shouldn't be on facebook while on the clock. It's unproductive and not what we're paid to be there for. But it definitely does not warrant him losing his job.

However, I am concerned about the general view of politicians I've been reading. There seems to be a consensus that every American politician is unethical scum and this is just the way the world runs. While I don't deny that at all, I'm concerned about the general apathy that can comes across from us voters. Why is it that as soon as an individual gets a law degree in the US we just accept lying and manipulation from them in a way we would not tolerate from eachother. I believe my political officials as representatives should be held to the same moral expectations I am, no more and no less.
