It's a pretty pointless law when enacted on such a small scale. All that will happen is that porn studios will move to another county which allows them to make the sort of films they want to, and the local economy will suffer. I'm in favour of people wearing condoms in films, but the people legislating this are only doing harm to themselves.

This. The industry is just going to change counties. It's not going to have a large-scale impact on movies, sadly. I understand why it's so important to have condoms used on sets.

I imagine a lot of studios will move across the county line, and I can't imagine other counties enacting such a law.

All it means is that the porn industry will have to move somewhere else. Bad for LA, but that's what happens when people pass useless legislation. It's not even predicted to help stop the spread of disease.

It's pointless and silly frankly. Hopefully the vast majority of people aren't making their choices about safe sex based on what they see in porn.
